WOW. What a day at the Getpro Bath Half! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎉

A MASSIVE shoutout to all of our incredible Team Nova runners who smashed 13.1 miles today! Your energy, determination (and ability to make it up THAT hill) was amazing to see. We are so proud of every single one of you! 💙💛

Huge thank you as well to everyone who donated, cheered, clapped, waved pom-poms and generally helped keep our runners moving! 📣👏 Your support means the world and the money raised will have a huge positive impact for Nova Sports and our community clubs.

Now the important question… who’s feeling brave enough to lace up their trainers and join Team Nova for the Bath Half Marathon next year? 👀🏃‍♂️🔥

We are incredibly proud to share that Alex, the heart and soul of Nova Sports, has been awarded the Beryl Dixon Community Leader of the Year Award, part of the Community Awards 🏆

This award recognises exceptional leadership in advancing equality and supporting marginalised groups — and Alex is being recognised specifically for the extraordinary impact of our community club, the Bath Romans Wheelchair Basketball Club 🙌

Under Alex’s leadership, the club has grown into a thriving, inclusive community with:
🏀 A dedicated youth team
🏀 2 mixed adult teams
🏀 Ladies team
🏀 Sister clubs in Bristol - adult and youth

Supported by the club’s wonderful committee, Alex has developed a clear and successful talent pathway, enabling junior players to progress into the adult teams and continue their sporting journey, while also ensuring that every team trains weekly and has the opportunity to compete in leagues. That is a lot of wheelchair basketball 🤯

Alex isn’t just the driving force behind the club — he’s the Chairperson, coach, player, organiser, van driver, emergency popped-tyre fixer, and, on most days, the person holding absolutely everything together. If there’s a job to be done, chances are Alex has already done it (or is on his way to sort it 😅) 💪

His tireless commitment has opened up sport to people of all ages and abilities, building confidence and community along the way. This award recognises the real impact he’s made in advancing equality through sport and creating space for underrepresented communities to thrive.

We couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations, Alex — and thank you for everything you do for Nova Sports and the Bath Romans family. 💙💛❤️

Congratulations to Bath Romans Wheelchair Basketball Club! Division 2 Champions! 🏀🏆

🎉🎉🎉 DIVISION 2 CHAMPIONS! 🎉🎉🎉

Our Ladies team finished a fantastic season by being crowned Division 2 Champions with wins from 11 of their 12 matches 💪

With plenty of ups and downs along the way, the players held it together and were worthy winners overall to pick up the trophy 🏆

This is a great achievement and the ladies should be very pleased with themselves 🥰

A big thank you to Head Coach Joe and to the wider management team of Rich, AJ and Ellie - they couldn't have done it without you 🙌

What an amazing turn out at our 3rd annual Quiz Night on Saturday! 🥳

Around 90 people came to the event which was hosted at Welton Rovers Football Club ⚽️

We managed to raise a whopping £1,087 💵 All proceeds go towards our Bath Half Marathon 2026 team - many of whom brought along their own quiz team.

The quiz was eventually won by Brookers Lot 🥇 It was a hugely enjoyable evening and we can't wait to do it again next year.

A special thanks to Rob, our fantastic quiz host 🎙️ and Lara, our chief Quiz Night organiser.
