JUNE MEETING - AGM & CRAFTS

Our next monthly meeting is this Monday, 15th June. It is our AGM, so if you haven't been for a while, it is a fantastic time to come and hear about what we got up to last year and what we are planning for next year. We will also have a selection of craft tables for you to chose from such as needle felting and stenciling.

As usual visitors are welcome at a charge of £5, and we will have our usual selection of refreshments for you to chose from.

We look forward to seeing you all on Monday at Frome Cricket Club at 7.30pm

Huge thanks to our lovely member, Margaret for bringing in some fascinating finds from her time as an archaeologist. We all learnt a lot and it was great to be able to hold so many truly ancient objects in our hands and reflect on the changes these things had ‘witnessed’ during their time!
Thank you again, Margaret.

MAY MEETING - ARCHAEOLOGY: A LOAD OF OLD RUBBISH?

This month we are delighted to welcome our very own Margaret who is going to give an interactive talk on archaeology. She will be bringing flints and pottery, all from surface collections, which can be handled and sorted.

She will explain what archaeology is, how it developed and how objects and sites are dated.

It promises to be a fascinating evening!
