Well... what a night. 💚

I'm feeling absolutely rough today and full of cold, but I couldn't let the day go by without saying a massive thank you to everyone who made last night's first ITSGD2TK Quiz Night what it was.

Honestly, it went as well as I could have hoped. The place was full, the atmosphere was brilliant, people laughed, talked, sang, danced, got competitive over the quiz 😂 and most importantly, people came together.

And that's what ITSGD2TK is all about.

We raised £535 on the night before the remaining event expenses, which is absolutely incredible and will go straight back into helping us grow ITSGD2TK, create more opportunities for people to connect and keep building what we're trying to build in our community.

A huge thank you to Rick and Dave for taking on quizmaster duties and doing a brilliant job, to Shara for kicking off the live music, Andrew and Steve from Aperitivo for another fantastic set, and to the Frodsham Belly Dancers for bringing something completely different to the night and getting everyone involved.

Massive thanks as well to Joe, Robbie and everyone at Kash 22 for hosting us and helping us make the night happen.

Thank you to Mark, Connor, Ricky and everyone else who helped behind the scenes, whether that was setting things up, organising, selling raffle tickets, helping on the night, spreading the word or simply asking what needed doing and getting stuck in.

And Ricky deserves a special mention for making the incredible VW Camper BBQ pit for us to auction. It went for £170 on its own! An amazing contribution from one of the guys from our ITSGD2TK Men's Group and something that made the night even more special.

We also couldn't have done it without the generosity of the local businesses and individuals who donated prizes.

A massive thank you to Kash 22 , Lady Heyes Holiday Park , Brewski's , Skin Science & Spirituality, The Open Chair , Connor Farrell, Marc Wilson and everyone else who donated something towards the raffle and auction. Every single donation helped us raise what we did.

But the biggest thank you has to go to everybody who bought a ticket, bought raffle tickets, bid in the auction, donated, performed, volunteered or simply turned up and supported us.

I've had some absolutely lovely feedback since last night, and seeing a room full of people enjoying themselves, meeting people, talking and connecting reminded me exactly why we started doing this.

This wasn't just about raising money.

It was about bringing people together.

And judging by last night, I think we need to do it again. ❤️

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! 🙌

We're really looking forward to tonight's ITSGD2TK Quiz Night at Kash 22, Church Street, Frodsham.

A massive thank you to everyone who's helped us put the night together, and to all those who've donated prizes, including Kash 22, Lady Heyes, Brewskis, Skin Science & Spirituality, The Open Chair, Connor Farrell, Ricky, Rick Oates and Marc Wilson. Your support genuinely means a lot.

And of course, a huge thank you to all of our performers who are giving their time to entertain us tonight.

Right, this is the last big push before Thursday, and looking at what's coming together, this is shaping up to be a proper good night.

It's an itsgd2tk night in aid of itsgd2tk CIC, bringing people together for a night of laughs, music, dancing, a quiz, a raffle, some seriously good prizes and a few surprises along the way.

Alright fellas, it’s men’s group night tonight! 💚

You don’t need to have something weighing on your mind to come along. You might have had a great week, a crap week, or one of those weeks where you’re not entirely sure what day it is.

The group is simply a space to get together, have a brew, a laugh and a proper conversation. Sometimes we talk about the difficult stuff. Sometimes we talk about everyday life. And sometimes just being around other people for a couple of hours is exactly what we need.

There’s no pressure to share anything, no judgement and no expectation that you need to be struggling to walk through the door.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along but haven’t quite made it yet, why not make tonight the night? You’re more than welcome, whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been coming for months.

Next Thursday, 1st October, we're taking over Kash 22 in Frodsham for an evening of quizzing, live entertainment, fantastic prizes and, most importantly, bringing people together to support a great cause.

Sometimes we have absolutely no idea of the impact we have on other people.

A message. A conversation. A compliment. Someone saying thank you. Someone simply telling you that something you did mattered.

To you it might seem like a tiny thing.

To the person receiving it, it might arrive on the exact day they're questioning themselves, feeling exhausted, wondering whether what they're doing is making any difference at all.

I had one of those moments today.

I've always had enormous belief in what we're trying to build with It's Good 2 Talk and in why I'm doing it. But that doesn't mean I'm immune to self-doubt. I'm human. I have days when rejection stings, when things aren't moving quickly enough, when support feels thin and when I wonder whether I've got enough left in the tank to keep pushing.

Then today, completely out of nowhere, somebody picked up the phone.

They didn't know what sort of day I'd been having. They didn't know I needed to hear what they were about to say.

But I did.

And by the end of that conversation, the tank wasn't quite so empty anymore.

That's one of the reasons I believe so strongly in what we do.

Human connection matters.

So if somebody has helped you, inspired you, made you laugh when you needed it, listened when things were difficult, or simply made your life a little bit better...

Tell them.

Don't assume they know.

Because you might think you're just giving somebody a few words.

You might actually be giving them the fuel they need to keep going.
