What a fantastic Repair Café today, with over 43 items repaired.A huge thank you to our wonderful repairers and helpers for giving up their time and sharing their skills. Your hard work makes events like this possible.

Meet Eric, an RAF veteran, who brought along a pocket watch that had been sitting in a drawer for over 50 years. Seeing treasured items brought back to life and hearing the stories behind them is what the Repair Café is all about.

Join us at the Frinton WI Repair Café at McGrigor Hall, 9:30am–11:30am.

This month’s volunteer repairers include:

Bring along something that needs fixing and we’ll do our best to help.

Free repairs, donations welcome. Tea and coffee available.

No booking required – just drop in.

⭐ Volunteer Spotlight – Sheila ⭐

Always first to lend a hand, Sheila helped deliver over 3,000 Repair Café leaflets and keeps us all going with tea, coffee, and her legendary homemade cakes.

Some visitors come with broken toasters... we're fairly sure a few come for the cake!

Can this be fixed?” — it’s the question we love hearing at the Repair Cafe.

From wobbly lamps, to well-worn clean clothes and IT gadgets where the turn off and on rule has not worked. Bring them along and we’ll have a look. No promises, we do have volunteers covering jewellery, stitching, IT, watches, electrical, and general repairs, all equipped with optimism and experience.
