The lady in question is Wendy Gavin, a mother of three and has terminal lung cancer. Wendy has successfully campaigned against the closure of hospital wards in her local area and has set up support groups for homeless people and a local mental health centre. Wendy requested the help of a local musician to help her record the song so that her children would have it to remember her by, and also for the song to be released as a single to raise funds for cancer research and treatment.
