Happy Saturday! This week we have gained a few new followers so I thought I'd take the time to reintroduce myself.
I am Rebecca, founder of FPA, bringing over 15 years of experience in teaching and performing to Frinton. My passion for the stage began early- at just eight years old- appearing in a show at the London Palladium, sparking a lifelong love of the performing arts.
Before launching FPA, I led similar sessions in West Essex, working with children and young people to build confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Since moving to Frinton, I wanted to create a nurturing local space where children can thrive through the arts.
I hold a CertHE in Primary Education from the University of Greenwich, and my approach to teaching is grounded in child development, wellbeing, and inclusive learning. I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead, first aid trained, and mental health first aid trained, making sure we have a safe and supportive environment for every child.
A trained singer, i have graded singing qualifications with ABRSM, achieving high Merits and Distinctions, and regularly perform in local pantomimes and musical theatre productions. I have also worked as a Musical Director for various community theatre shows, combining my love of music and storytelling.
My mission is to help every child discover their voice, express themselves freely, and learn the life skills that performing arts so powerfully provide. βπ»
