Good morning folks!

Here is an update of our events calendar for the year. Can’t believe we are into June already!
Up next is the buttery morning on the 20th June. 🙂

From the last update on where we are in regards to repairs with the hall, the front extension roof has now been replaced and looking grand! We are ready for when that rain happens again😆

Some new spotlights have been installed to the outside too.

We continue to hold fundraiser events in the hall both for you all to enjoy and continue to keep the funds flowing for the upkeep of the hall. We are and will always be truly grateful for your ever continuing support 🫶🏻💙

A huge congratulations to one of our long standing committee members Andrew on this fantastic achievement!!🌟🌟🌟
A fantastic friend & mentor to many! I think everyone will agree what a wonderful person you are…Thank you for your service to the Company, village & community Andrew 💙

For we look in on Andrew McLeman, Captain of the 1st Sandhaven, who has been a dedicated and hard working leader with the Company for nearly 25 years.

We often say that Volunteering makes a difference and Andrew is proof of how one person can make all the difference!

Andrew has led the Company - almost single handedly - for a number of years, being the driving force behind other volunteers.

There is, though, one problem. At the end of the year Andrew will have a birthday ending in a zero and we hear that with that he plans to retire.

The fear is that without Andrew leading and with nobody to take over, the Company may disappear after nearly 90 years continual service to the young people of the village.

One person really does make a difference!

Volunteering has a great many advantages for the volunteers and their community so if you live in Sandhaven, why not rise to the Challenge?

We thank Andrew for his sterling work and look forward to finding ways to continuing the Sandhaven Company.

Today we held our Car Wash Fundraiser, and what a super day it was! 🚗✨

We had a great turnout, with lots of happy faces coming along to support us and plenty of cars leaving with a gleaming shine!

A huge thank you goes to Fraserburgh Fire Station, the Hall Committee, and a very special thank you to our amazing volunteers who gave up their Saturday to help out – you know who you are! 🫶🏻

We’d also like to thank everyone who baked and donated to our cake and candy stall. Your kindness and generosity are so appreciated.

We’re delighted to announce that the grand total raised today was a huge £854! 🎉

Thank you all so much for your continued support. We couldn’t do it without you guys.
