In tribute to a true friend and hero Steve Spokes, we have officially named the stores after you.

It’s such a sad loss to loose Steve but he will always be with us everyday, watching over and thinking I could do something with that!

(Hopefully get the plaque up soon on the external stores).

For information for anyone coming to Mafeking

Advance warning from South Gloucestershire Council:

Improvement works on the A432 Badminton Road - Beesmoor Road and Roundways junction (Beesmoor Rd junction CLOSED from 2nd March 2026 for 16 weeks)

The next stage of the project will involve the section of the A432 Badminton Road from the junction with Beesmoor Road and Roundways and may affect travel and access at various times.

When and Where

Start date: Week commencing Monday 2 March
Duration: Approximately 16 weeks
Location: A432 Badminton Road from the junction with Beesmoor Road and Roundways.
The majority of the works will be carried out during the daytime, but some overnight work may also be necessary at times. We will however try and keep any disruption to a minimum.

Traffic Management

For the duration of the works Beesmoor Road will be temporarily closed at its junction with the A432 Badminton Road, with an alternative diversion route, through Woodend Road → Park Lane → Bridge Way → Church Road → Badminton Road (and vice versa) see map below.

Three-way temporary traffic lights will be in place at the A432 Badminton Road/Roundways junction to allow for access to The Manor C of E Primary School. Woodhouse Park Activity Centre is a Scout activity centre and campsite to the North of Bristol run by Avon Scouts. We provide adventurous activities, camping and residential experiences to Scouts, Girlguiding, youth groups and schools.
