Since writing the last update, last week, I've had more charities contact me for help. Things are getting so difficult and resources so stretched that I'm having to rethink on clothing. Please, if you have clothing you wish to donate, and you know that there is still plenty of wear left in them, then please contact me so we can discuss this further. Our help and donations seem to be needed now more than ever so please let's work together to help as best we can with the limited resource that I have (my limiting age and finances lol.......)

Update on Happy Handbag
From September (2026) Happy Handbags will be gratefully accepting suitable toiletries for Happy Handbags plus underwear and childrens’ clothing. Please read below to find out why….

I have been thinking long and hard about this but I think that the time has come to simply concentrate on Happy Handbag and greatly restrict Happy Bags. This is very sad but, due to age and health, I’m having to cut back on what I do. The black sacks of bedding and clothing are simply becoming too much for me to manage.

Last week Happy Handbags called into Second Chance Charity shop in Cirencester where Sue had 8 bags of donations waiting for me(!) - toiletries and underwear - all so needed. Thank you to all who donated to Happy Handbag through Second Chance. Happy Handbags and clothing going out to Nelson Trust Bristol this week and clothing etc to Family Haven Gloucester. Next week starts with Happy Handbags to Nelson Trust Swindon. The number of talks being requested are reducing so donations of toiletries are slowing. More are needed for forthcoming donations going to Julian Trust, Eastwood Park and the Night Angels in the next few weeks....... Thanks to Mandie in Gloucester I have a regular supply coming in from there but I find that I'm buying products every other week. We order them with our fortnightly delivery from Morrisons. The delivery driver last week jokingly stated 'these products are either on special offer or going to a charity' ..... another chance to spread the word... Again, thanks to all who donate - I really can't do this without you ....... As always - 'Thank you Big Yellow Storage in Gloucester' I can't do this without you either!!
