🚨LAST CALL FOR RECIPES🚨
Wednesday 26th of November, is the last chance to submit your recipes for entry into our international food festival. Submitted recipes will be prepared by UHI Professional Cookery Students and served at a tasting evening which will take place at UHI Fort William in January!
This is also the last call for recipes to be included in the upcoming Cow Hill Hall Community Cookbook! We want to feature a range of recipes from all the different cultures which make up the Cow Hill Community. Send your submissions to [email protected] to be included!

We’re putting together a Cow Hill Community Cookbook, and we’d love for you to be part of it!
Do you have a favourite family dish, a go-to weeknight dinner, or a classic recipe that you always make at Christmas? Be it granny’s famous lentil soup, a cultural fusion, or your own wacky creation, we want to feature it in our community cookbook.
What we’re looking for:
• Clear recipe instructions (ingredients + steps).
• A short note about what makes the dish special to you (optional but encouraged).
• Photos are welcome, but not required.
Please email your recipe to [email protected] by the end of October to be featured in our cookbook.
We want to celebrate the flavours, traditions, and creativity of every aspect of our community. Every recipe tells a story of our lives on Cow Hill. Recipes do not have to be traditional Scottish food, and in fact, we want to encourage submissions from our community of new arrivals, new Scots, as well as people who have been living on the hill for generations.
