Nevis Landscape Partnership

Nevis Landscape Partnership Ben · Glen · People · Projects · Volunteering Our partnership is not only a source of funding, it is a source of resources, ideas and support.

Nevis Landscape Partnership are acharity organisation; an innovative collective steered by key organisations who share a passion to protect and enhance the unique landscape and biodiversity of Ben Nevis & Glen Nevis through community engagement. Our staff and our f key partner organisations work with numerous local and national groups to carry out our projects and strengthen the partnership betwee

n the land and successful land management. Ben Nevis & Glen Nevis are undoubtedly two of the busiest tourist destinations of the United Kingdom and on the other hand they are wild, breathtakingly beautiful and anyone seeking solace can find it in our landscape. This paradox raises serious questions regarding human impact and erosion on the landscape and highlights serious issues regarding the work it takes to safeguard the plants and wildlife of this environment and maintain the paths hundreds of thousands of boots depend on to safely ascend our highest mountain. Can you put a price on that bluebird day on top of our highest mountain with your best friends and breathtakingly beautiful views in every direction? How much would you pay for an adventure with your children exploring a litter-free, native forest bustling with wildlife? Can you buy the kind of peace of mind and solitude that you get from immersing yourself in the trees, rivers and mountains? All the amazing, priceless experiences you can have here have a very real cost and without your help the ecosystem will crumble, the wildlife will disappear, the paths will erode and the litter will be left to scar our landscape. Your money goes DIRECTLY to Nevis projects. No hidden costs, administration fees or unclear transaction procedures. You give us money and it pays for black bags, shovels, compost, carabiners, static rope, helicopter lifts, all the things it takes to enhance the landscape for this generation and the next. Give big, give small, give once, give regularly, whatever and whenever you can afford to put your hand in your pocket and directly contribute towards the land is greatly appreciated by everyone involved in these projects and everyone who seeks solace in the wild.

Wow! We had the best time hosting the Creative Rainforest Project public showcase this week. We sent an open invite out in December to ask if anyone wanted to make and share something Scotland's Rainforest themed. We were worried that no one would reply. But boy we were wrong. What an amazing response!

Over 50 submissions including paintings, poems, short stories, songs, dioramas and woven pieces 🎨 And well over 100 people came along to see the creations and celebrate our Nevis Rainforest restoration work. The tendrils of this project touched every age group of our community. Thank you to everyone that helped and took part!

A particular thank you to for allowing us to use your amazing space. for helping to run the event.

This would not have been possible without our funder, the Rainforest Restoration Fund managed by

We may be (comparably) wee, but we are important! As part of The Scottish Government's work to hit their nature restoration targets by 2045 NatureScot has reviewed current landscape-scale projects. They have created a shortlist of the top priority projects that they will prioritise allocating resources to. We are delighted that the Nevis Landscape Partnership are has made the shortlist as one of 19 "Areas of Focus". Can you spot us?
