General charge is £30 for a morning, afternoon or evening event. Treslaig Village Hall End of Event Checklist
The event organiser is responsible for checking that each of the following has been actioned prior to leaving the hall.
• It is the event organiser's responsibility to ensure that their guests are fully compliant with current COVID regulations: face coverings must be worn, social distancing to be observed and hand sanitizer used.
• All entrance and exit points are to be kept clear at all times.
• All tables and chairs have been wiped down using the cloths and antibacterial spray provided.
• Tables and chairs are properly stacked at the sides of the main hall.
• All door handles and push plates are to be wiped down using antibacterial spray and cloths provided.
• Floor must be swept, if needed. Brooms and mops can be found in the tall cupboard in the foyer.
• If using any glasses or crockery, these must be washed and returned to the appropriate cupboards.
• All rubbish must be taken away at the end of the event.
• All lights must be switched off.
• Please switch off the mains electricity in the kitchen.
• Please report any damage immediately. You may be asked to reimburse the hall for this.
• Ensure the main door is securely locked on leaving and return key to key safe.
• Please keep noise to a minimum and be mindful of neighbouring properties when leaving. Charges
• Hire of hall: £30 for up to 4 hours, then £10 per hour thereafter (includes heating and electricity). Use of kitchen is included in hire.
• Hire fees / balance are to be paid upon invoicing.
• Please allow ample time to set up before and clean up after.
• Any user failing to leave the hall clean will be charged at £6 per hour for extra cleaning. A charge will be made for any breakages or other damage. Fire Procedure
Action to be taken on discovering a fire
• Set off break glass point displayed at each fire exit.
• Call Fire Brigade by dialling 999.
• Leave the building by the nearest fire exit taking any required registers of people in building.
• In the case of a false alarm, please contact the Bookings Clerk on 07715579999

🗓 Lochaber Area Committee – Key Updates
Here’s a short summary of the main decisions from the Lochaber Area Committee meeting:

🚗 Mandatory Parking Charges Approved
The committee agreed to introduce mandatory parking charges at several key visitor hotspots to help manage demand and support local infrastructure. Locations include:
• Camusdarach Beach, Arisaig (no overnight parking of any vehicle type between 10pm – 8am)
• Selected sites across Fort William
• No motorhome parking from 10pm-8am at the various car parks

💷 Community Regeneration Funding Awarded
Six local projects have been awarded Community Regeneration Funding, with a total investment of £231.5k to support improvements, regeneration and community benefit across Lochaber.
