It's not often we get something like this gracing our shelves... at least, not in as amazing condition as this!

For those of you into retro (some might even say VINTAGE) computing, check out this wonderful Packard Bell PC running Windows Me!

This system comes as a complete set - tower, monitor with attached speakers, keyboard, mouse, manual, productivity software package and a selection of software CDs (including games, encyclopaedias and more)!

Now, some may be old enough to remember Windows Me as not being the best of Microsoft's operating systems, but we can assure you that this old girl is running perfectly! We've given her a good clean, replacement CMOS battery, fresh install and a good, long test.

If you're looking to get your hands on a piece of living computer history - it's over a quarter of a CENTURY (shh, you didn't see anything else here) old! - then it can be yours for just £100!

🚛 Another 9 tonnes of old computers and technology safely on their way for final disposal and recycling.

A huge thank you once again to all the volunteers and staff who have been involved in the collection, processing, separation and dispatch of our latest load. Every item handled represents valuable materials being recovered, hazardous substances being managed responsibly, and unnecessary waste being diverted from landfill.

♻️ Why does this matter?

Electrical and electronic waste (e-waste) is now the fastest-growing waste stream in the world. The rapid pace of technological change, shorter device lifecycles and increasing demand for electronics mean millions of tonnes of unwanted equipment are generated every year.

When these items are discarded incorrectly, not only are these resources lost, but potentially harmful materials can also end up damaging the environment.

We love technology, and we love cardboard boxes (don't ask 😄), but we also love having a space to get away from the noise and take time to chill.

Our sensory garden continues to be a favourite spot for the team to relax and recharge. With spring in full swing, the plants have burst back into life, making it an even more peaceful and colourful space to enjoy.

We're also working on another wee project to encourage more bees, butterflies, and other beasties into the garden.

Watch this space as the beds continue to grow! 🌱🦋

Our team at ReBOOT were out tackling the litter that had gathered around the premises.

As you can see, there was plenty to collect, but we're pleased to say the area is now looking much cleaner and tidier. ♻️

The good news? All of the recyclable materials were separated and sent off for recycling, helping to keep valuable resources out of landfill or incineration.

We do have one question though...

Who on earth is drinking Baileys Irish Cream in an industrial estate?! 🤔😂

A big thank you to everyone involved in helping keep our local area clean and looking its best.
