The Forres Heritage Trust is turning the lights in the Tolbooth and Nelson's Tower green from this evening to mark, Liver Cancer Awareness Month. Liver cancer suffers from a chronic lack of awareness and the statistics reveal a sobering reality: only 13% of those diagnosed survive for five years or more, making it one of the least survivable forms of cancer in the UK.

The green colour is widely recognised as the symbol of liver cancer awareness, and by illuminating in green, it will send a powerful visual message of solidarity and support to those affected by liver cancer, their families, and the healthcare professionals working tirelessly to combat this disease.

Encouraging to see the Dufftown Clock Tower receive vital funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund Scotland. The project sits alongside Leanchoil - we also have been supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund Scotland - in a Moray Council-supported bid for Scottish Government funding through the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund. Good luck to us both! Forres Community Activities Association Forres Local
