Moray Trading Standards has been made aware of bogus workmen posing as Moray Council employees.

They're offering to tarmac driveways at low prices, often advising that repairs are needed there and then and it's a one day only offer.

This is a common scam carried out by rogue traders who take payment for poor quality materials and workmanship, before leaving the area and disappearing.

If you're approached by these individuals, do not engage with them.

If you, or anyone you know, has been approached by them, please get in touch via consumeradvice.scot so we can assist and investigate.

⏰ 7pm TONIGHT - Friday 20th February
ℹ️ EGM + Cheese & Wine Evening to discuss the D**e & District Hall Extension

πŸ˜ƒ Great to see the Hall working together with D**e Landward Community Council

Great news for the village of D**e. Planning permission and building warrant have been granted to extend the much-loved and much-used village hall.

The extension will provide additional storage, new meeting space and an upgraded plant room, improving overall flow and flexibility for users.

As a local to D**e, it’s been especially rewarding to be involved in this project, and I’m excited to see it come to life.

For fundraising details and ways to support the project, head over to D**e & District Hall page.

We have got so many plans in the pipeline but we need more volunteers to enable us to provide all that we want / plan to.

πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈπŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈDo you have a few hours a month to give to volunteering? This role can fit around your responsibilities, and you can decide when and how you would like to volunteer. There is flexibility on the amount of time you give too. We know our volunteers have busy lives and we do our best to fit around you.

We are particularly looking for volunteers from the Strathspey area and the East Moray (Buckie, Keith, Cullen). We would also really like some volunteers who can support an activities group for ND young men (teens to twenties).

We have a great team but as our branch and services are growing quickly we also need a secretary and other supporting roles to help us continue to give our best to the groups and events we’ve created.

These roles are fully supported by the regional Senior Branch Engagement Officer and the other branch volunteers. You will receive full guidance and training for everything you’ll need to do.

πŸ’¬ If you have any questions please feel free to msg us and we’ll reply promptly.

Apply via the link in the comments. πŸ‘πŸ»
