1940s Hangar Dance & Big Band 15th Aug - Tables of 8 available - See Eventbrite for Tickets! We are a small, independent museum run entirely by volunteers, and we are a registered charity. We have a collection of Main Battle Tanks, military vehicles, and weapons which includes Deborah II, the

replica Mk IV Tank as seen on Channel 4’s documentary ‘Guy Martin’s WW1 Tank’. Amongst our Main Battle Tank collection is a unique collection of Centurion tanks: an AVRE, a Mk13 Gun Tank and an ARV, these are in static display most of the year, but can be seen in action along with many of our other vehicles on our purpose-built off road course at our Annual Armourfest weekend each August. Also on static display, with full public access, are a Chieftain Main Battle Tank, and a Saladin Armoured Scout Car which you can climb inside and experience the confined space and atmosphere of a crew turret. We have many other vehicles, uniforms and a small arms on display. The Norfolk Tank Museum offers a unique, ‘hands-on’ experience which gives you the opportunity to access and handle our exhibits. Weather permitting you can enjoy a white-knuckle ride on our off-road course in the ‘Hagglands BV206’All Terrain Vehicle, and then relax with a coffee and a light snack in our tea room. We have disabled access to all our buildings and dedicated parking spaces. There is a picnic and children’s play area as well as large open space where children and pets can run free. We also have access to local country walks via the Public Footpath infrastructure, including the Tas Valley Way and the Boudicca Way. All monies received by the Museum are spent on the continuing refurbishment and modernisation of the museum grounds and the expansion of our Collection. As well as the fully restored vehicles, we have a continuing programme of restoration for vehicles that are donated or bequeathed to us, often in a very sorry state. Our volunteers lovingly bring these vehicles back to life and fully-working order. We are open to the public from February to December: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Adults £9.50 - one child under 12 FREE with each paying adult, additional Children £5. Children under 5 FREE

Norfolk tank Museum was founded in 2010. Current Restoration Projects:

We are currently restoring our Chieftain AVRE to full running order as well as several smaller armoured vehicles. We are looking for information to complete our restoration of the only example of a 20/30 cwt Crossly Half track we believe to be in existence. How you can help:
Our collection is restored and maintained by volunteers. Without their hard work and dedication the collection would not be what it is today. However, we are always looking for new volunteers and materials to carry out this work. If you have a few hours to spare and would like to become involved, please contact us. If you are restoring your own Military Vehicle and need advice please contact us.
