Empowering Children Through Education and Creativity

We invite you to be part of the solution. Your support will help us educate children and spread the crucial message that there are no winners when it comes to knife crime.

We are launching a major campaign targeting primary school children across the region. Our plan is to distribute over 50,000 A4 colouring page competition entries to 112 primary schools. We firmly believe that early intervention and education play a vital role in tackling knife crime.

As part of the competition, winning pupils will be awarded an Art Kit, their school will receive a bleed kit, and their artwork will be showcased across our social media platforms and website.

Sponsorship rates include the cost of design, printing, and delivery. You can choose from the following options:
• 500 pages: £145.00
• 1,000 pages: £245.00
• 2,500 pages: £495.00
• 5,000 pages: £945.00
• 10,000 pages: £1,695.00
• 25,000 pages: £2,995.00

A mural has been unveiled in memory of 15-year-old schoolboy Harvey Willgoose, who was stabbed to death by a fellow pupil.

The teenager's family teamed up with the charity Knife Crime Matters to create the artwork, which has been put up at the entrance to Meadowhall Shopping Centre, nearest to the bus and Supertram interchange.

Safety, Resilience, and the Reality of Youth Knife Crime 🛡️
As we enter spring 2026, the conversation around youth safety in the UK is shifting from reactive "bans" to proactive safeguarding.

While "American-style" lockdown drills are making national headlines now, for schools in Southport , this has been a necessary reality since the tragic events of 2024. Their leadership in trauma-informed safety protocols is now providing a roadmap for the rest of the country.

The Current Landscape:
• The Stats: Over 99% of youth knife offences are for possession alone—driven more by fear than intent to harm.

• The Policy: The new Crime and Policing Bill is introducing "Prevention Partnerships" and strict "Ronan’s Law" age checks to curb supply.

• The Goal: A whole-of-society approach to halve knife crime within a decade.

Safety isn’t just about security drills; it’s about early intervention and building communities where children don’t feel the need to carry protection.

How can we better support our schools and young people in this transition? Let's discuss. ⬇️ Knifecrimematters.org

Honouring Harvey Willgoose: A Commitment to Safer Schools

The unveiling ceremony was held last month at Meadowhall, Sheffield, to honour the memory of Harvey Willgoose, a 15-year-old schoolboy who was tragically murdered in 2025.

A Collaborative Tribute
We are proud to have collaborated with Harvey’s family on the creation of this mural. It is our sincere hope that this work will help to convey the vital message that there are no winners in knife crime.

Our Vision for School Safety
Our aim is to make our schools safe havens, not scenes of violence. Here is what we need now:

Education & Awareness
We must teach our youth the permanent consequences of violence. A split-second decision results in a lifetime of trauma, imprisonment, or the loss of a life.

Immediate Safety Measure
Bleed Kits: These save lives in the critical minutes before help arrives. They must be as common as fire extinguishers in every hallway.

Knife Arches: Deterrents at school gates should be standard. If they protect airports and courts, they should protect our children.

A Call to Action
Protecting our children is non-negotiable. We need all local Councils and school boards to prioritise these safety measures immediately.
