Redwings Mountains, which was part of Redwings Horse Sanctuary, is now closed. This page remains open as an archive and updates on it may only be occasional.

Our purpose is to provide a haven for horses, ponies and donkeys. Many of the animals have been rescued from cruelty or neglect or ignorance. We provide food, shelter, medical treatment and loving care. The Sanctuary relies solely on public donations and receives no government funding. Donations are an essential life line and we are extremely grateful to the public for their continued help and support.

Happy 19th birthday Minnie! 🎉🎁🎂

Adoption Star donkey Minnie celebrated her birthday over the weekend at Redwings Caldecott in Norfolk, where she has settled in very well with son Mouse and best friend Petra.

The trio were treated to a pampering session from their carers before the celebrations began and then they tucked into a very tasty donkey friendly birthday cake together too! 😋🎂

Minnie recieved lots of cards and gifts this year, a huge thank you to everyone who sent her something to help her celebrate her special day ♥️

Why did the chicken cross the road? To visit Redwings Aylsham it seems and give Adoption Star Gibson a surprise! 🤭🐔

Gibson is used to seeing two-legged visitors, but this one looked a little different to normal, and definitely different to what he used to see at Redwings Mountains!

‘Kevin’ the chicken, as he is now commonly known to the Aylsham team, is a frequent visitor to the site, and they always keep an eye on him to make sure he’s safe while he’s with us. As you can see, Gibson likes to help! 🤭🐔

Happy 12th birthday Gibson! 🎉

Gorgeous Gibson and his best friend Ellie-Mae have settled into their new home at Redwings Aylsham in Norfolk following the sad closure of Redwings Mountains.

The timing of his move meant he wasn't able to have a birthday party this year, but his carers still made sure to make a big fuss of him on his special day!
