🌭🥓 Visiting Glamis Extravaganza this weekend? Come and grab a bite to eat while supporting local young people! 🥓🌭

The Tannadice Scout Group Food Tent is open all weekend, serving everything from bacon rolls and burgers to our popular All Day Breakfasts, filled rolls, fresh salads and hot drinks.

🥩 We're proud to source our meat and many of our ingredients from local suppliers, giving you great quality food while supporting local businesses.

💙 Most importantly, every single penny of profit goes straight back into Scouting.

That means every roll you buy, every burger you enjoy and every cup of tea you drink helps provide equipment, camps, activities, adventures and life-changing opportunities for hundreds of local young people. None of the money leaves the Scout Group – it all stays in our community, helping young people gain skills for life.

📍 Find us in the Food Tent by the main ring
🗓️ Saturday & Sunday
⏰ Open from 7:00am

Whether you're after breakfast before exploring the show or lunch during the day, we'd love to see you. By choosing our food tent, you're not just buying great food—you’re investing in the future of local young people.

We accept cash and card (when the signal allows!)

Thank you for your support, and we'll see you at Glamis! 💚

Do you want to make a real difference in your local community?

We're delighted to launch Friends of Tannadice Scouts – a new community support group for anyone who wants to help one of the few remaining community organisations serving Tannadice, Oathlaw, Finavon, Noranside, Memus and Fern.

You don't need to be a Scout Leader or commit every week. We're simply looking for people who are happy to lend a hand whenever they can, whether that's:

🔨 Helping with maintenance around the Scout Hall
🌱 Cutting grass, gardening or general tidy-ups
🎉 Supporting fundraising events
🛠️ Using your skills for repairs or improvement projects
🙌 Or simply volunteering whenever you have a little spare time

Our Scout Group has been at the heart of the community for over 110 years, giving young people opportunities to build confidence, learn new skills, make lifelong friendships and enjoy unforgettable adventures.

To keep providing these opportunities, we need the support of our local community.

Whether you can spare an hour a few times a year or would like to get involved more regularly, every contribution makes a genuine difference. Together, we can ensure Tannadice Scouts continues to grow and thrive for the benefit of local young people for many years to come.

🌰 Volunteers Wanted – Help Us Launch Squirrels at Tannadice Scouts! 🐿️

We’re excited to be looking at starting a new Squirrel Scout section at the 22nd Angus (Tannadice) Scout Group — and we’re looking for some friendly volunteers to help make it happen!

Squirrels is the youngest section in Scouts for children aged 4–6, focused on fun, games, adventures, crafts, outdoor activities and helping young people gain confidence and life skills from an early age.

We’re looking for adults from the local community who could spare a little time each week to help run sessions. No previous Scouting experience is needed at all — just enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to get involved. Full training and support will be provided.

You could help with:
🐿️ Running games and activities
🎨 Crafts and creative activities
🔥 Outdoor adventures
☕ Helping behind the scenes
😊 Supporting young people to have fun and grow in confidence

Volunteering can be flexible, and even helping occasionally can make a huge difference.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help bring something new and valuable to local children and families in Tannadice and the surrounding area.

A big thank you to Murton Farm, Tearoom and Nature Reserve for hosting the Tannadice Explorer Unit this week.

Our Explorers had a great time making leather keyrings and woggles, we also enjoyed some marshmallows. It was a brilliant evening and we really appreciate the opportunity to visit!

❄️ Winter Olympics Night ❄️

Last Night our Scouts held their own version of the Winter Olympics at Memus.
They took part in hockey matches, a ski relay, curling, skeleton, bobsleigh and a speed skating race — all adapted for indoors!

It was great to see teamwork, encouragement and plenty of effort from everyone involved.
Well done to all the Scouts for getting stuck in and giving it their best. 🥌🏒
