πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 4 Wonderful Years of Lochside Connections! πŸŽ‰

This week marks a very special milestone as we celebrate 4 years of Lochside Connections.

Over the past four years, we have had the privilege of supporting people living with dementia and their families, creating a welcoming community where friendships flourish, memories are shared, and everyone is valued.

From laughter-filled activities and outings to meaningful conversations and moments of connection, our journey has been made possible by our incredible members, families, volunteers, staff, and supporters. Thank you for being part of our story.

We are proud of everything we have achieved together and look forward to continuing to provide a place of friendship, support, and belonging for many years to come.

Here's to celebrating our past, enjoying the present, and looking ahead to the future. πŸ’™

Happy 4th Birthday, Lochside Connections! πŸŽ‚πŸ₯³

This Dementia Action Week, we’re sharing the voices that matter most β€” our members πŸ’™

At Lochside Connections, friendship, laughter, support and belonging are at the heart of everything we do. Hearing how our members feel about the meeting centre reminds us why these spaces are so important.

Because nobody should face dementia alone. 🌻

What is The Herbert Protocol?

The Herbert Protocol is used for those who are at risk of going missing and live with dementia in care homes, with family or independently in their own homes.

How to use the protocol:
- Complete, in advance, a form recording all vital details, such as medication, mobile numbers, places previously located, a photograph etc.
- Update the form regularly with any new information.
- Keep it in a safe place for example, saved on a computer or within a care plan. In the event of a family member or friend going missing, the form can be easily sent or handed to the police to reduce the time taken in gathering this information.

To download the form click here ➑️ https://orlo.uk/cX99g

🌟 Join Us for the Kiltwalk – 16th August! 🌟

We’re excited to invite you to take part in this year’s Kiltwalk to help raise funds for Lochside Connections πŸ’š

There are two great options to get involved:
πŸ‘£ The Mighty Stride – 20 miles
🌿 The Wee Wander – 4 miles

We’re hoping some of our members will be able to join us for the Wee Wander, supported by staff – it would be fantastic to make it a real group effort!
πŸ‘‰ If you’d like to take part, please sign up using the link below. When registering, select Strathmore Cricket Club as the charity.
πŸ“’ Once you’ve signed up, please let a member of staff know so we can keep track of numbers.
πŸ’¬ We’d also love to hear from you if:
You’re interested in taking part
You think a member may like to join the Wee Wander with staff support
Once we have an idea of numbers, we’ll set up a JustGiving page and sponsor forms.
Let’s come together, get moving, and support a great cause πŸ™Œ
