Join us for a traditional All Hallows Eve ‘soul-caking’ this Tuesday, 13 October at The Mariner, Folkestone.

Medieval minstrels went door to door to sing for the souls of the recently departed in exchange for ‘soul cakes’ (spiced buns shared for remembrance and left outside for wandering spirits).

Sing Folk regular Cat Rossi will be talking about her fascinating new project Harvest Moon and Anna will lead a song she wrote as part of that project (her first song about a table).

Kentish hops are the jumping off point for our Harvest themed evening next Tuesday 22nd Sept. You might have gathered your own favourites along the way - please bring them with you!

Charles Holland, Catharine Rossi and Local Works have fabricated a table from materials harvested within a 40-mile radius of Canterbury, UK.

Exciting to see Sing Folk mentioned in the latest The Folkestone Foghorn. Thank you Hayley Pearce for highlighting all the great folk activities happening in the town.
