Hey! Who fancies a spontaneous litter pick? 👋

Tomorrow (Sunday 23rd August), we’re meeting for a mini Womble in Folkestone for something a little special…

🎥 ITV News Meridian wants to meet the Folkestone Wombles!

So, if you’re free, come and join us at our usual spot at Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue from 12.30pm for an hour or so.

🚮 Pick some rubbish, get outdoors, hang out with your fellow Wombles and maybe even have a chat on the telly!

Whether you’ve volunteered with us before or this would be your very first Womble, everyone is welcome. 🩷

And afterwards, we’re planning a little drink and snack at okay coffee because, obviously, all good Wombles deserve a treat 😉

🎸 Every great band needs its members – and Folkestone Wombles is recruiting for more!

Whether you’re a litter-picking legend, a community champion or just fancy doing something good with some friendly folke, we want you in THE BAND!

📌 Come Womble with us on Sunday 30th August from 10am until 12pm, meeting outside the Civic Centre in Castle Hill Avenue (CT20 2QY).

We’ve got your litter picking instruments sorted, so just turn up for your audition and be ready to rock the streets of Folkestone! 🚮

See out the end of the month with another community litter pick, taking to the streets of Folkestone with our friendly volunteers 🚮

Showing some love for our parks with purpose 💚

Our final outing of Week was a great success, with 17 volunteers joining us to pick litter on The Leas!

A beautiful morning stroll under blue skies and sunshine, made even better by great company.

Finishing with a brew and a bite to eat at Mugs @ Urban Room was the perfect way to round off our busy week of wombling ☕️

We think we’ll be putting our feet up for a little while now! 😌

Let your love flow! 🚣

Our very first outing into Hythe helping to tidy up around the gorgeously scenic Royal Military Canal went so well 💕

1️⃣5️⃣ volunteers came along to help us and enjoy the chatter, the wildlife and finding all the rubbish tucked away in undergrowth.

Also, a big thank you to Hythe Boat Hire for offering us bottles of water to keep us hydrated during our evening Womble 💦

That’s the 3rd of our Week events complete with the final one due to take place this Sunday 2nd August from 10am on The Leas.

Looking forward to seeing some more Wombles there! 👋
