Folkestone Festivals provides the band programme on behalf of Folkestone & Hythe District Council. After ten years of doing this we were delighted to be awarded Best Family Friendly Event Organiser Kent in the Travel & Tourism Awards 2926. We hope you enjoy the afternoon, are well looked after by our brilliant Team of young Helpers and that you will support us through your kind donation. Our programme depends on additional support from Folkestone Town Council Grant, Council Ward Grants, Folkestone Coastal 10K, Hotel & Catering Association, businesses, sponsors and our own fundraising. We are grateful to all as we try to provide a wide variety of music on the Bandstand built in 1895.

With the very sad postponement of the On The Run Pink Floyd Tribute weekend on 29th and 30th August, we have been reaching out to bands that may be available to fill the slots available. So many great bands are booked up and we are calling out to you to help us find a good band that may be available or had their gig cancelled and would now be free to play. L

We are looking for reggae, northern soul.

Rock of Aged are booked for the Saturday, which is great news.

If you wander onto the Leas this Saturday 8th August from 2.30 to 4.30pm you will hear the Old Country Crows playing at the bandstand. A wonderful Country Folk Rock Band - quite refreshing as they write and perform their own music in the style of light contry folk rock,
We cannot keep them away from the bandstand and we are expecting a large audience - so if you need a chair come early as we will quickly run out of deckchirs and upright chairs, or bring your own along and make a full afternoon of it and make use of the open space to enjoy good music for a family, friendly free fun event.
