Folkestone Symphony Open Workshop
Saturday 9th May 2026, 10.30am-12 Noon
Folkestone Baptist Church

As part of the Folkestone Town 'Music in May' Festival, Folkestone Symphony are hosting an open workshop for instrumentalists to come and have the experience of what it is like to play in a Symphony Orchestra.
So, please write into [email protected] if you wish to register for this event.
Note that there will be simpler parts available on the day for those that want them.
The two pieces to be worked upon at this workshop are Finlandia by Sibelius and Steppes of Central Asia by Borodin.
All we ask is that instrumentalists register in the first instance, come along on the day and play.
The event is free of charge but it would be very much appreciated if those who play would be kind enough to give a donation at the end of the workshop to help us cover our costs.
