Touchbase Care empowers adults with disabilities and neurodiversity to flourish through creative arts, wellbeing activities, skills development, and community connection. We aim to provide a place where people can enjoy being together, learning and sharing skills and living life to the fullest. The centre offers a cafe, a quiet room, two holistic therapy rooms, a ceramics room, creative studio spaces, an IT suite and space to exhibit work.

As shown, Richard wanted to show everyone his string pull painting! 🎨💙

By pulling a paint covered string across the paper, he created sweeping textures and curved shapes in a striking shade of deep blue. The finished piece is full of energy and expression, with every mark showing the movement used to create it.
This activity was a fun sensory and creative experience that encouraged experimentation and freedom through art.
Richard really enjoyed this activity, he practised his hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and concentration exploring art in his own unique way. ✨🖌️

Well done to Kevin for designing his very own allotment garden 🌻🌿
Kevin spent lots of time concentrating carefully on this artwork, exploring all of his favourite things he would love to grow in his dream allotment. He thoughtfully included a variety of flowers, plants and vegetables, as well as special features such as a pond, bat boxes, and a relaxing table and chairs area to enjoy the outdoors.
This was such a fun and creative experience as Kevin was able to use his imagination, make independent choices and bring his ideas to life through art and design. He showed fantastic focus, patience and attention to detail throughout the activity.

Last week we went to Butlins for our first Touchbase holiday of 2026 and we all had the best time! ☀️
From bingo, shuffleboard, bowling and laser tag to go karts and an escape room, there was never a dull moment. Most importantly, it was so lovely to see everyone enjoying each other’s company, building friendships, gaining self esteem and making the most of every moment together.

Seeing so many smiles throughout the week made it extra special for all of us. We’re already counting down the days until we take another group back in September! ❤️

Such a special day at the Rare Breeds Centre on Wednesday 🐑✨
From the moment we arrived, it was full of so such excitement. The petting area was definitely a highlight, getting up close, stroking all the lovely animals.
Oh and of course… we couldn’t leave without a visit to the gift shop (too many tempting bits to choose from!)
A truly incredible day from start to finish 🐷🐐🦆🐴🐑🐓🐮

Sunny mornings at the allotment are something so special ☀️🌱

As you can see from pictures above, we spent time planting lettuce seeds, watering our produce, and harvesting plenty of fresh leeks. We also enjoyed a nature hunt around the allotment, spotting different plants, flowers, and birds along the way 🐦‍⬛🌼
Of course, we wrapped it all up with a lovely cup of tea ☕️ Simple moments, fresh air, and great company 🌿

Sneak peek👀📖

Our Nature Connection sessions now have their very own notebook to keep all our thoughts together 🌿
Inside are different pages designed to spark conversation, creativity and teamwork. Some of the pages include how we would prepare for a winter walk, our forest poem, what’s on our doorstep (The Bayle Pond), and ‘If I Were a Stone’.

These prompts help members reflect on nature, share their thoughts, and work together while enjoying the outdoors. It’s been wonderful to see the conversations, ideas and teamwork that come from these simple but meaningful activities. 🍃👏🏻

As we continue to fill this book out, we will be sure to share more pages with you all💚
