🎉 WE HAVE SOME AMAZING NEWS! 🎉

It’s been quite a six-month journey.

Six months! Three months writing stage 1 application and waiting with great anticipation to find out whether we would be invited to submit a Stage 2 application.

Then came another three months of intensive work, refining, developing and submitting our Stage 2 application… and more waiting.

And then the email we had been hoping for:
“Congratulations, we are funding your project.” ❤️

What amazing news!

Our award-winning Women’s Economic Empowerment Programme is going to be funded for another four years! 🎉

We are incredibly grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund and, of course, to all the National Lottery players whose support makes this funding possible.

The funding landscape is incredibly tough and competitive, so we are absolutely thrilled with this result. It means we can continue supporting women and non-binary people to build confidence, develop their skills, strengthen their financial wellbeing and create new opportunities for themselves.

And there’s more…

📢 In September, we’ll be recruiting for several new roles as we build our team and prepare to deliver the programme.

We absolutely love running our Creative Wellbeing Group. 💛

Every week, this incredibly talented group of women amazes us with their creativity, imagination and willingness to try something new.

Over the past 15 months we've created beautiful pieces using mostly recycled materials, from egg boxes and cardboard tubes to make paper clay, which has been transformed into artwork and unique jewellery. We've repurposed clothes, explored Kintsugi Art, learned new skills, shared stories and, most importantly, built a wonderful community together.

It's been an incredible 15 months, and we can't wait to see what we create next.

We'll be taking a short summer break after 20 August and will return on 3 September.

Someone shared a message with us today that really resonated.

💯Community wellbeing takes a village.
So many of us struggle on our own. We carry worries quietly, convince ourselves we should be able to cope, or feel ashamed, scared or uncertain about reaching out .

Yet often, the village is there.
✅It's the friend who checks in.
✅The neighbour who notices.
✅The colleague who asks how you're really doing.
✅The community that welcomes us in.
✅The people who remind you that you don't have to carry everything alone.

Community wellbeing it's built through connection, kindness and people looking out for one another.

Sometimes being part of the village means asking for help. Sometimes it means being the person who notices.
