🎉 Today marks 140 years since the Leas Lift first carried passengers up Folkestone’s cliffside in 1885. A remarkable milestone for one of the UK’s last water-powered funiculars.

The photo here shows the Lift as it opened all those years ago, beginning a story that still inspires generations today.

Did you see NCI Fleetwood as one of the stars of last night's CH5 programme 'Coastal Adventures with Helen, Jules and JB'?

In case you missed it, the episode 7 is called Watchful Eyes and Wild Rides and you can see it again on catch up (see link in comments).

The crew did a great job of telling Helen (and the viewers) about the tides and particular challenges of the coastal area they watch over. And the even tested Helen's skills with a (mock) VHF radio broadcast.
