💙🐾 SPECIAL APPEAL – COULD YOU GIVE BERTIE THE RETIREMENT HOME HE DESERVES? 🐾💙

We are looking for a very special long-term foster home for our gorgeous Bertie🐱💙

Bertie is approximately 13 years old and was found living as a stray. We don't know what his life was like before coming into our care, but we do know that this gentle boy deserves to spend his retirement surrounded by warmth, comfort and love, not in a cattery pod 🥺💙

Following veterinary checks, Bertie was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which is well managed with medication. The good news is that Bertie is an absolute foodie and happily takes his medication mixed into his meals 😻

Bertie also has a degenerative eye condition, meaning his eyesight is gradually declining. But cats are incredibly adaptable, and despite this, Bertie continues to be the sweet, gentle and loving boy we have come to adore 💙🐾

What Bertie really needs now is a quiet, safe home with no other pets, where he can relax, feel loved and enjoy his golden years 🏡❤️

Everything you need to care for Bertie will be provided:

💗 Full support and advice
🐾 All medication and veterinary care costs
🍽️ Food
🛏️ Bedding
🎾 Enrichment and everything he needs to be happy

All Bertie needs from you is a safe home, patience, kindness and lots of love ❤️

💔 Seven months. Seven long months of waiting for Wilf. 💔

Poor Wilf has been patiently waiting for someone to see just how incredibly special he is and give him the loving forever home he so deserves. 🐾

We honestly can’t understand why this handsome, loving boy has had so little interest. 😥 Behind those beautiful eyes is a playful, affectionate boy with so much love to give, he’s just waiting for the right person to give him a chance.

Wilf does have a few special requirements. He needs to be the only cat in the home and must be kept indoors. Ideally, he would love a good-sized home where he has plenty of space to explore, play and burn off some of his energy. 💙

In return, Wilf promises companionship, affection and a whole lot of love. He could be the wonderful new family member you didn’t know you were missing. 🥹🐾

Update: the owner has been found, thank you to everyone who shared this post.

💔 Sadly, we have collected a deceased female cat today from the Romney Avenue area, Folkestone.
She is white, brown & ginger (calico) and was wearing a collar, but unfortunately no microchip was found, so we have been unable to contact her owner.

VOLUNTEER WITH US!

RSPCA Folkestone is one of 150 branches around the UK, offering vital support to pet owners and help for local wildlife.

The branch is managed by volunteer Trustees; it offers a range of services and support, funded entirely by donations. Operating two pet food banks, a subsidised veterinary clinic and, almost uniquely for a local branch, it employs its own Animal Welfare Officer.

To support our work, we are looking for volunteers to help us with wildlife transport, our social media content, and fostering cats in our care. If you can help with any of these roles, please contact: [email protected]
