MAF UK MAF uses planes to change the lives of the world's most isolated people through the love of Christ. We are flying for life.

We believe everyone deserves access to hope, including the isolated. That's why we fly relief, healthcare, education and God's love to those most unreachable.

❗MAF needs more pilots.❗

Impossible landings? Not for Pilot Andy Little. From rugged hillsides to tight jungle strips, he takes on the toughest conditions every single day. 🌦️

And with every touchdown, he opens the doors for healthcare, education, evangelism, and hope to reach isolated communities. 🛩️

But none of this would be possible without training…

And training cannot take place without sufficient funds.

Help train the next MAF pilot like Andy… every day without one is a community left waiting for hope. ❤️

Did you know that in Madagascar, there is only 1 doctor for every 10,000 people compared to 33 doctors for every 10,000 people in the UK? (source WHO).

MAF partner Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons hope to close the gap by training more local surgeons at the Good News Hospital -Hopitaly Vaovao Mahafaly Mandritsara - but how does PAACS reach the most isolated areas where healthcare is at its worst? MAF!

MAF Madagascar flies from the capital Antananarivo to Mandritsara in under 1.5 hours, saving the team up to 3 gruelling days by road which simply isn’t feasible, says Keir Thelander - Vice President of PAACS (black square glasses):

‘Without the possibility of flying to Mandritsara, we would not have come. We simply could not afford the days of travel by road. We are truly thankful to MAF for getting us to the hospital so quickly.’

FIFA reported that approximately 5 billion people tuned in to watch the last World Cup in Qatar, a reminder of just how connected our world can be. But many cut-off communities that MAF serve still live beyond the reach of essentials we take for granted such as access to healthcare, education and the Gospel.

Today, as the world is watching the World Cup, join us in praying for the isolated communities that MAF serve.

Lord, we lift up the hidden places.
The villages without roads.
The people waiting for help.
May your love reach where the news of football results won’t.
Amen.

Meet the future pilots and engineers of MAF Liberia!

50 schoolchildren from Grace Christian Academy in Liberia recently visited MAF’s hangar in the capital, Monrovia, to get a taste of how the charity supports their country. School Head Mr Cheabow said it was both an education and a great day out:

‘I do admire MAF’s work giving hope and happiness to people in isolated areas. I am proud to have MAF in Liberia who fly to the rural areas. Without MAF, we wouldn’t be able to reach such a level of hope. See the smiles on the faces of the students and myself? It gives me joy and that’s why I chose MAF for a field trip!’

MAF has opened two airstrips in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest!

The first windsocks were installed in the villages of Morona Santiago and Santiak, which will improve operational safety.

These cut-off communities will finally be connected to the outside world and will have access to much-needed aid, which will transform the lives of isolated people.
