💚 Ham & Cheese toastie or mozzarella & tomato panini? 🍅

After an over order at a popular high Street eatery, Laura couldn't bear to see these moorish goods go to waste! So she contacted us to share them with her community instead. Thank you Laura! ⭐🙌

Come & choose your favourite tomorrow. Friday the 19th of June. We'll have some on Saturday too!

Why not also pick-up some freshly gleaned local produce, courtesy of Chris Turnbull & a tasty sweet treat .

Apologies but we will be CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday the 10th of June, due to unforeseen circumstances.

We are happy to announce we'll be open on Thursday 11th of June instead! 9.30 - Midday.

Every item of food has a unique journey after leaving our little 'shop'. We love to see the inspiring, creative meals you make.
Thank you for sharing your photos with us :) 🌱

1. Nat created a beautiful spread for her guests. The refreshing salad contained spring onions from our fridge, chicken thighs from our freezer and red peppers for the sauce from our counters. 🍅

2. The humble cabbage was collected by Amy, and braised for 20 mins. She then opened a bag of microwave rice and added readymade sauces with peanuts and sesame seeds. Perfect! 🥬

3. Joel collected globe artichokes from us. He was generous enough to share his step by step guide for steamed artichokes with French vinaigrette. Please check out our stories for the recipe. Why not screenshot & keep for next time? 🌸

4. Danielle made a colourful, wholesome rice dish. Enough for a family of five, featuring peppers and broccoli from FCF. 👫🤼‍♂️

5. We've had plenty of citrus fruit in recent weeks at FCF. Claire picked up some lemons and created a tangy marmalade! 🍋

6. Ryan picked up frozen garlic flatbread. He used tomatoes from our counters and added his own additional toppings from home. 🍕

7. Several months ago Ryan's neighbour (name unknown) enjoyed an avocado. Wasting nothing, she decided to nurture the seed and has produced this impressive avocado plant! 🌱

Community!! 🫶✨
We've had some wonderful food donations in recent weeks at FCF. Thank you for thinking of us & taking the time to come in to see us. Sharing food with your community couldn't be easier! How rewarding to know that you're reducing food waste and making a huge difference to many of your neighbours. 💚

1. Gloria's veg box subscription provided more than was needed. This colourful veg was shared via FCF before it could go to waste. Thank you to Gloria's friend (name unknown 😊), for bringing them in! 🍅

2. Nik , overestimated the oat milk needs of her family! Many delighted dairy-free households benefited from Nik's prolific bargain hunting!

3.Amy popped in with some mushrooms, sugar snap peas and tomatoes to share. They were snapped - up by visitors 🫛

4. Producer Ben rescued these sweet treats from a advert shoot! His backpack was stuffed with goodies that he thoughtfully shared with us!

🎉 A wonderful week at 180 Dover Road! 🌱🎉✨
Our first week operating from our new site has gone by in a flash! Filled with fun, food & chaos!
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who continue to adapt, take on multiple tasks and contribute tirelessly to make our new place a home from home! ✨

Thank you dear visitors for following us down the road from Wood Avenue and lending a hand when needed. To the many new visitors who have come to say hello and prevent great food from going to waste - lovely to meet you, don't be strangers! 😊

We have only 4 days remaining to raise as many funds possible via our crowdfunder. Please support us with as much as you can - every penny will be put to good use! We have overheads and renovations to complete.
