While our crews are over at Gylly enjoying the Falmouth Pilot Gig Club regatta, our Bowside shanty group will be serenading the new glasfalmouth cafe at Greenbank by the Royal Falmouth Yacht Club. Zetta, Sitar, Zetta-arrr, we've enjoyed them all 😂. It's a Cornish word meaning arrow or cormorant. Ze-thar with the stress on the Ze. We shall be taking questions 🚣☺️

Scillies 2026 is winding down after a brilliant and intense weekend and a great day of finals. We are so proud of all our crews who have given 100% and more over a long hard winter of training. Our new gig Zethar was eye catching in her first World Championships, our SuperMasters, average age 73, came top of their age group - an awesome achievement - and our new Under25 crews smashed it in their Finals groups 👏👏👏. Congratulations to everyone who represented, coached and coxed with such strength and commitment. It's onwards now to the summer regattas, the Great River Race and the new European Championships. Bring it on! 🚣💪🍻

Great send off for our MA,LA,U26M&L, MV,LSV, MM and SM crews, and a huge shout out to our coxes, selectors and coaches who've seen us through a long wet and windy winter of determined training. Look out for us in Zawn and Zethar, our new gig at her first Scillies!

Meet Jago, our superfan who sang along to the FMPGC Bowside Shantiers at Dynamite Valley tap room in Penryn yesterday afternoon, and howled when we stopped 😂.

We'll be singing again at the Lemon Arms in Mylor Bridge on 17 Dec 8.00pm. 🎄🚣‍♂️🍻🎶 🎅🧑‍🎄
