We have a had a couple of workshops to support our fixers over the last couple weeks in sewing machine repairs.

These machines are precision pieces of equipment and terrifying to contemplate but with a little assistance from Sew Much Better

and with your kind donations, we have been able to explore some of the basic fixes to some of them.

Its always a pleasure to be able to have new opportunities to learn and grow and to be able to provide these for our volunteers who are just incredible people.

Apologies for the lack of photos... I was learning too! 😆

Tomorrow is not only Fleet Repair Cafe but also, Fleet carnival!

Two wonderful opportunities in one day!

It does mean however, that you will need to consider your journey to us and make sure you don't coincide with the highstreet road closure.

Victoria Road car park will remain open but might be best to pop up earlier rather than later.

See you there

Never let it be said that people who do certain jobs always do it for others but not for themselves! 🤪🫣

This is a knife sharpeners state of affairs with a pair of well loved secateurs! That is definitely NOT the components sitting soaking the rust off 😀

Don't forget, gardening tools should be cleaned after use and left dry. They also need sharpening every now and then.

You can bring your blades to us BUT please be aware of the law around carrying knives and familiarise yourself with keeping yourself and others safe when bringing them to the cafe.

The Fleet Repair Café are Fleet Lions Club heroes of the month for June.

They wrote: Their free repair services for household items help our community reduce waste, tackle carbon emissions and save money. A-ma-zing!

Thank you Lions! We are super proud of what we have been able to achieve.

Putting away those winter jackets? Now is an ideal time for a sprint clean - give them a wash, they’ll dry outside in minutes! And whilst you’re there give them a little MOT check over. We can repair zips, pockets and more at the Repair Cafe in just over a weeks time. Come visit us!!
