🛣️ Having proposed this scheme - utilising funds contributed by the developer of Crookham Park - Church Crookham Parish Council, on behalf of Hampshire County Council, are pleased to share with you details of upcoming works on Sandy Lane/Oakwood junction:

“We would like to inform residents that Rocon Contractors Ltd, on behalf of Hampshire County Council, will soon be carrying out investigation works ahead of planned highway improvements on Sandy Lane.

These initial works will involve a CCTV camera survey of the existing drainage chambers to assess the current infrastructure before construction begins.

Following the investigations, the main improvement works will convert the existing uncontrolled crossing on Sandy Lane into a zebra crossing. This enhancement is designed to make it safer and easier for pedestrians to travel between Crookham Park and Church Crookham Junior School.

The scheme aims to provide a safer, more direct walking route, encouraging active travel for children, families, and the wider community. To help minimise disruption to the school and local residents, the main construction works will be scheduled during the school holiday period.

We thank residents for their patience and understanding while these important improvements are carried out.”

🚗 PLEASE PARK CONSIDERATELY🚙

Inappropriate parking on Crookham Park is causing access issues for our amazing maintenance team who require access through the drop bollards to carry out their necessary works and keep the estate looking great!

Please ensure you park responsibly and avoid blocking pavements, access points and gates so all of our residents, including those with pushchairs and wheelchairs can access play parks and shared spaces easily!

A little consideration goes a long way. Thank you for helping keep our community safe and accessible for everyone. 😊

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at our Community Open Evening 💚

It was wonderful to see so many residents, Parish Councillors, District Councillors and County Councillors come together to celebrate our community, learn more about the work of the Parish Council, and discuss our aspirations for the future of Church Crookham.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to attend, ask questions, share ideas and engage in such positive and constructive conversations. Your feedback, insights and enthusiasm for our community are invaluable and help shape the work we do.

Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to live in a community where people care deeply about the place they call home.

Thank you once again for your support, interest and involvement. We look forward to continuing to work together to make Church Crookham an even better place to live, work and enjoy.
