Yet again we have had an incident in our car park with someone hitting and damaging our railings and driving on. They must know they hit it as their tail light was broken and the railing was bent quite a bit showing the force it was hit with.
We as a Royal British Legion keep our car park open for the good and benifit of our local.community. We all know that accidents can happen but it is demorlising when those responsible drive off without reporting it.
We are reasonably sure when this happened and are about to check our cameras but feel we would like to give the person responsible the opportunity to come forward first. Please phone Iain Lendrum on 07866511961 if you have any information.

We were delighted to host a BBQ yesterday for our team of volunteers who give of their time freely in support of our Branch and Club. They fulfil a variety of roles including helping with welfare, Poppy Appeal , maintenance, committees and bingo. Without their dedication your RBL would not function and we salute their efforts. Missing from the photo was Don Williamson and Dave Plant.
Our Poppy Appeal Co-ordinator Mark Byers also presented a variety of Long Service Certificates which included 2 x 55 year certificates to mother and daughter team Joan Browne and Donna Harron who has been collecting since she was 6 years old.
We also wished 2 old stalwart of our community Austin Lendrum and Maurice Malone Happy Birthday after celebrating their 87th Birthday this week.
A big thank you to Ricky Mullin from Hot Rocks for the fantastic BBQ.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday to watch The Grand National. A special mention to the crew from The Lisbellaw Veterans Group who travelled over to support us. We really appreciate everyone's support and we as a Club could not survive without it.
Massive congratulations to our Dart Team who won the Team Event at the Royal British Legion NI Darts Competition in Comber. We sent a busload of 30 people which included 20 throwers. A big thank you to Fred Harpur who over saw the trip. Well done lads.
