Looking forward to hosting Clogher Valley Grenadiers this Saturday evening before and after the parade.
Bar open from 6pm and will remain open during and after the parade. All bands parking in Scotts Bakery are welcome to call in before the parade.
After party and prize giving at 10pm. Disco and late bar to 1pm.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
At the request of the Board of Govenors at Fivemiletown Primary School our Car Park will be closed during the week and will not be available for drop off/collection of pupils. This request has come in the interest of safety for children and parents as there has been a number of near misses on the A4 road almost resulting in
accidents.
While we provided the car park for public use to support our local community in the interest of health & safety we will support this request.

Ben Higgins our resident veterans welfare and pensions expert will be in FMT RBL tomorrow morning from 10am to 12. This will be Ben's last clinic as he is retiring after many years service to the veterans comminity. His expertise and knowledge will be a big loss to our local veterans. We will be hosting a farewell function for Ben in the near future to thank him for all his help over the years. More details to follow on this but if you want to call in tomorrow for a cuppa and a chat feel free.

The Committee and members of Fivemiletown Royal British Legion would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family circle of our esteemed member Mr Robert Fyffe MBE on his passing.
Robert was a long time member of Fivemiletown Royal British Legion and was an avade supporter of all Branch activities especially Remembrance. He served as PT RUC Reserve Officer in Fivemiletown through the dark days of the troubles and was a shining example of what a Community Police Officer was long before the term was ever invented.
Roberts other love was his Church and Christian faith. We were blessed on many occasions to have him preach at St John's on Remembrance Sunday. Robert was a queitly spoken man who served all his community in so many ways and epitomised the RBL Motto " Service Not Self"

For the months of July and August we will be adopting our summer opening hours unless for specific events or functions.
Friday - 8pm
Saturday- 7pm
We will be open this Saturday from 3pm until late due to Buses calling on route back from Rossnowlagh. Everyone is welcome to call in both passing and local customers.
Keep free the 12th evening as Clogher Valley Grenadiers will be cooking burgers early evening after returning to Fivemiletown after the parade.

An interesting Commonwealth War Grave in a wee Church outside Glencoe in Scotland. If you notice the date Lcpl Macpake died 27th June 1940. This was 6 days after his father who had also served in The Cameron Highlanders in the First World War passed away as recorded at the bottom of the head stone. His mother lost her husband and son in the same week.
Also attached some pictures from the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge. Well worth a visit to see this fitting tribute to all Commandos. The Commandos trained in this area during WW2. Beside the Memorial is a fitting Memorial Garden which includes many family messages to Commandos lost in conflict including Northern Ireland.
