Findhorn Conference: We Do Not Die

Findhorn Conference: We Do Not Die Fear and suffering is a common human experience no matter what our personal background, religion or spiritual practice. Where youth, beauty and success are

Where youth, beauty and success are valued above all else, such as in the materialistic culture found in today’s Western society, existential fears are driven below the surface. Consumerism, addictions and obsessions become the coping mechanisms. Ancient and aboriginal peoples, however, had rituals to address and integrate the fear, meaning and understanding of death. For us today, the direct info

rmation brought back from people who have had near-death and out-of-body experiences can and does have an immediate impact on our lives. We are confronted with a new perspective from which to view our:
• fear and suffering
• purpose on a soul level
• reason for our life's direction and relationships
• self-worth and the worth of our existence
For the most part, people who have experienced near death no longer fear death. In the loss of this most basic fear, the annihilation of all existence, all other fears fall away. What kind of relationships and society might we experience if fears were lessened and put into a new context and perspective? How much might our ability to love and accept ourselves, and others, expand, if we could grasp our soul-purpose, and our role in the ‘play’ of this life? People who have had profound mystical experiences find, often in a life-review, that their most insignificant acts of unselfconscious caring or kindness were given vast importance. The aim of this conference is transformation – an expansion of consciousness – on an individual and a major cultural level. Our vision is for the conference to be more of a sharing; to be co-created with you, the participants, to be experiential and to provide a mixture of collaborative methods and experiences. We are interested in your experience and your journey. In the process of four days we want to hear your story, and how it may have impacted your life. There will be ample opportunity to meet in small groups and explore what is most important to you with community members and speakers. The keynote of this conference is the transformative power of Limitless Love and Light: the founding principle of the Findhorn Community. This unconditionally loving Light is beyond description, yet many have experienced it through near death, out of body, kundalini, meditation or another kind of transpersonal experience. It is our true nature and the recognition that we are not the limited body/mind organism allows for our lives to change dramatically in ways we may never have dreamt possible. The information retrieved from near death makes it quite clear that:
• the soul lives on for eternity
• the challenges and fears that we face in this life are for the fulfilment of our soul's plan and experience
• death is but a 'doorway', a transition
• there is a benevolent power, of which we are directly a part, that loves us beyond anything that we have experienced in this incarnation
• all the knowledge that exists is already part of us
The stories alone are amazing to hear, but the after-effects, and gaining of psychic abilities and greater intuition of the near-death and out-of-body experience offer us all tools for overcoming fear and helping us to engage more fully with our soul’s path.
