It’s Race Day in Finchingfield! 🎉

The practice is over and it’s time for race mode at the Finchingfield 3-Legged Race 2026. Join us today on Finchingfield Village Green for a brilliant Family Fun Day, packed with community spirit, races, a dog show, raffle, duck race, and plenty more to enjoy.

We’re open from 12 noon for race registration, raffle ticket sales, and duck race entries.

13:00 Opening Keynote – Jayne Reeve

14:15 Duck Race – 1st race of the day in aid of Finchingfield CofE Primary Academy
15:00 Kids’ Race
15:30 2nd race of the day in aid of CREAMER Fund

Only one more sleep until Finchingfield’s Family Fun Day on the Village Green! 🎉

Come along for the Finchingfield 3‑Legged Race — a brilliant afternoon with a great village atmosphere, children’s races, the adults’ race, a dog show, and plenty more to enjoy.

Find a race partner, lace up your trainers, and get ready for some friendly competition.

Travel note: Finchingfield has traffic lights outside the Guildhall. Please allow extra time this weekend, or enter via Wethersfield Road (B1053) to avoid the lights.

Parking: Please follow the village parking signs when you arrive. Parking is available at Stephen Marshall Avenue and Finchingfield Doctor’s Surgery. Parking near the two main greens is very limited, so please walk, car‑share, or arrive early if you can.

This year we have 25 fantastic stallholders joining us at the Finchingfield 3-Legged Race, with lots to browse, buy, and enjoy. Come along and support local makers, artisans, and independent businesses while enjoying a brilliant Family Fun Day in Finchingfield.

You’ll find handmade and small-batch products, perfect if you’re looking for something unique rather than mass-produced. Prices range from £4–£200, with plenty of lovely gift ideas for autumn birthdays or even early festive shopping.

We’re so lucky to have three wonderful pubs in Finchingfield, and we’d like to say a huge thank you for their support of this year’s Finchingfield 3-Legged Race.

They are kindly sponsoring the drinks for the adults’ race, helping us make the day even more fun for everyone taking part.

A special thank you also goes to The Finchingfield Lion for donating £100 towards our event costs, and to The Fox on the Green for donating a prize for the best fancy dress costume in the adults’ race.

Come along, cheer on the racers, support our village event, and celebrate the brilliant local businesses that help make it all happen.
