With just 2 weeks to go until the Finchingfield 3-Legged Race, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us on the day.

We’re looking for help with:

🚩 Race Marshals

Could you spare just one hour on the day? Race marshals are needed during the race period from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

A full briefing session will take place on Tuesday 8 September at The Finchingfield Lion pub from 8pm.

As a race marshal, you may be asked to:

Help ensure racers follow the course

Answer questions from members of the public

Help marshal the drinks tables

👋 General Tasks

We also need help with setup and pack-down:

8am to 12 noon

5pm to 7pm

Tasks include putting up gazebos, bunting, flags, signs and much more.

If you can give an hour or two of your time, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you for helping us make this village event a brilliant day for everyone!

📸 Today’s raffle spotlight is a fantastic prize donated by Morgyn Goff — 1 hour of professional photography, including 5 fully edited digital photos.

Perfect for portraits, family photos or capturing special moments, with the option to purchase extra images from your session gallery.

A huge thank you to Morgyn for donating this wonderful prize and for kindly giving their time to take event photos on the day as well.

Money raised from the raffle helps FinCHE support local young people, funding things like sports equipment, coaching, swimming lessons, the village zip-line, football goals and the Maypole.

Today’s Raffle Prize Spotlight: LEGO Land Rover Classic Defender 90

A huge thank you to Lookers Bishop’s Stortford for donating this amazing prize year after year — it’s always one that everyone wants to win!

You can purchase your raffle tickets from Finchingfield Post Office and The Finchingfield Lion, and of course, they’ll also be available to buy on the day.

Thanks to the money raised through the raffle, FinCHE has been able to provide sports equipment, football coaching, swimming lessons, the village zip-line, football goals, and even the Maypole for local young people.
