We have a great connection with our councillor with South Gloucestershire here at the Filton Chamber of Trade they ensure our issues are addressed and that we're informed at all times of developments that may affect us.
"I just wanted to let you know that the council is doing what it can to move the travellers on from the car park in Filton Park. They appear to have entered via a broken fence on the Bristol side where the old toilets were knocked down. The council is looking into strengthening the fence, but we do have issues with Bristol CC who are the land owners. So not only is there a problem with ensuring that repairs are down, but it appears that enforcement is also a problem, which again is being investigated. Today we receieved an email with an apology from the South Gloucestershire Council about the disruption caused due to the travellers residing within our local carpark, Filton Road Carpark. There are currently investigations in process to look into resolving the issue from reoccuring.
This is great progress and a fantastic benefit of being a part of the Filton Chamber of Trade.
