❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU FROM FILEY RBL! ❤️

What a fantastic weekend at Filey Food Festival 🎉

We’re delighted to share that our Filey Poppy Appeal raised an incredible amount, pending final counting it looks likely to be just short of £2k in donations, while our Filey Royal British Legion Branch stand raised a further £187 to support our branch activities.

We’d like to say a massive THANK YOU to all our wonderful volunteers who gave up their time, energy and enthusiasm to help make the weekend such a success. ❤️

And, of course, a heartfelt thank you to the people of Filey and everyone who visited our stand and donated so generously. Your kindness and support mean so much to us and help us continue supporting our Armed Forces community and remembering those who have served.

It was brilliant to be part of such a fantastic local event, and we’re so grateful to everyone who played a part.

Thank you, Filey! You’ve been amazing! 🌺

Can't wait for Filey Food Festival 2027!

🎶 A wonderful afternoon of entertainment

🎤 Julie Sinclair – Singer
🎺 Hunmanby Silver Band
🪈 David Leeman – Piper
🎶 Community Choirs

Together, they'll help us create a fitting and memorable afternoon as we come together to remember those who have served, those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all those affected by conflict.

🎟️ Tickets are free, but donations on the day are very important to us. They help us cover the cost of putting on the event and ensure we can continue to hold occasions like this in the future.
Please give whatever you can — every donation, large or small, is gratefully received. 🌺

Don't leave it too late — free tickets won't last forever!

Please share this post with friends and family and help us spread the word.

🇬🇧 REMEMBERING ARNHEM — 26 SEPTEMBER

Today we remember the British, Polish and Allied airborne forces who fought at Arnhem during Operation Market Garden in September 1944.

The battle became one of the most famous and costly actions of the Second World War. Many paid the ultimate sacrifice, while others endured captivity, injury and hardship.

We remember their courage, comradeship, and sacrifice.

We will remember them.

🌺 Lest We Forget.
