IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Mel and I have been talking. Arranging Cerddi yn Cwrw every two weeks is a lot of work, organising, preparing, promoting, delivering, hosting, teching and there are real financial costs too. We are suggesting some changes.

We are raising the suggested donation from ยฃ3 to ยฃ5 for participation in any event, whether that participation is performance or just appreciation. This donation will remain optional as we are well aware, ourselves, that those for whom this event has the greatest benefit are often those who cannot afford to contribute financially.

The frequency of the event was monthly from 2010 to 2020 and increased to fortnightly during lockdown due to the emotional demand. We have continued that pattern but decreasing in-person attendance suggests this is no longer sustainable.

We have considered compromises such as decreasing the regularity to every three weeks instead of two but that sounds like a diary/calendar nightmare.

The proposal is that we will have a hybrid event in Cwrw every four weeks (not calendar monthly, please be aware) and in between, continuing the fortnightly pattern we will have an online only event (both events will have the same suggested donation for participation).

We are a community and desperately request your responses to this message ([email protected]) Please tell us if you agree, please tell us if you disagree, send, suggestions, alternative options, comments and questions.

The date of the next hybrid event at Cwrw will be next Monday16 Feb
and the following probable 4 weekly cycle
16 Feb
16 March
13 April
11 May
8June
6 July
3 Aug
31Aug
28 Sept
26 October

There will also be a hybrid event on Monday 2 March with a special guest reader

Please send us your comments ([email protected]) and we will make an announcement at the event next Monday 16 February confirming our decision.
