Meet the Team — Say hello to Jen! 💜

Jen first joined Supportive as a carer in 2021, before becoming a responder and then moving into the office as a coordinator in 2022. Having worked in several roles, she understands both the care we provide and the organisation that goes on behind the scenes.

After some time away, she returned in September 2025. Now a Care Manager in our Homecare office, Jen makes sure that everything runs smoothly.

Our free sessions offer a non-judgemental space to learn practical skills for managing addictive or compulsive behaviours, including difficulties with alcohol, drugs or gambling.

PROTECT YOURSELF THIS WINTER 💜

At Supportive, caring for others starts with looking after ourselves too. As Autumn arrives, we’re encouraging care workers to get their flu vaccination.

Flu can be serious, particularly for older people and those with certain health conditions. Getting vaccinated helps protect you and the people you support throughout the winter months.

Frontline social care workers are eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine. Speak to your local pharmacy for more details and guidance.

We’re recruiting for a Community Outreach and Ambulance Support Worker

Could you be the person who helps someone get to an appointment, connect with support, or feel heard on a difficult day?

At Supportive, this role brings together patient transport and community outreach. You’ll help people access healthcare, recovery services and other vital support, while offering practical help, reassurance and a non-judgemental welcome.

We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, calm under pressure and experienced in supporting people with complex needs. You’ll need a full UK manual driving licence held for at least three years and the flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.

💜Help Us Support The Little Princess Trust💜

Our wonderful Care Assistant, Sarah, has a daughter who is raising money for The Little Princess Trust, and we’d love for our staff team to come together and support her.

The Little Princess Trust provides free real-hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other medical conditions.

We’re incredibly proud of Sarah’s daughter for taking on this fundraising challenge and supporting such a fantastic cause.

If you’re able to donate, every penny will make a difference and would mean so much to Sarah and her daughter.

We’re really pleased to share that we’ve recently partnered with Eden, a local Utility Warehouse Partner, to help raise additional funds for Supportive.

With household energy prices increasing by around 4% this October, and further increases potentially coming in January, many families will be looking for ways to reduce their monthly bills.

Eden offers a free review of your household bills, including gas, electric, broadband and mobile, to see whether she can help you save money.

For every person Eden is able to help, up to £150 can be raised for Supportive, helping us continue the work we do within our local community.

The best part is, you don’t need to put your hand in your pocket or make a donation. You could simply save money on bills you’re already paying, while helping raise funds for Supportive at the same time.
