Hey everyone, Karly here with a little message 🥺
After nearly 9 wonderful years, I’ve made the very difficult decision to step away from running Ferrybridge Playgroup. 💛
Our Halloween session on 22nd October will be my last session, and although I know it’s the right decision for me and my family, it is going to be incredibly hard to say goodbye. As a childminder, my work can be very demanding, and I feel that now is the right time for me to focus more on my job and, most importantly, precious family time.
We do have a lovely lady, Debbie, who is going to be taking the reins and we're sure she will be amazing!
I want to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of the playgroup over the years — all the childminders, parents, grandparents, children, wonderful volunteers and the amazing centre staff. Your help, kindness and support have meant more to me than I can put into words and the group wouldn't have been able to run without you. ❤️
Ferrybridge Playgroup has always been so much more than just a place to bring the children to play. For many new parents, it has been a vital lifeline — somewhere to meet people, share experiences, find support and realise that they weren’t alone. Over the years, so many lovely friendships have been made, grown and blossomed through the playgroup, and I feel incredibly privileged to have been a part of that.
I will be very, very sad to let go, and I will miss the people, the laughter, the friendships and those familiar faces more than you know. I have so many happy memories from the last 9 years that I will treasure forever.
Thank you for making Ferrybridge Playgroup such a special part of my life. 🥰 Here’s to all the wonderful memories, friendships and happy times we’ve shared — and to one last Halloween together! 🎃👻❤️
