Today’s Equals session was full of Halloween fun! 🎃

We rolled out dough, used Halloween cutters to make our biscuits and then got creative decorating them! We also enjoyed making Halloween crafts and had some conversations about being physically active and looking after our mental health. A brilliant mix of creativity, conversation and, of course, biscuits!

Today, the Home Ed group enjoyed a trip to Landguard Fort and Felixstowe Museum. Thank you to the team for making our visit so enjoyable.

We loved trying Morse code, using signal flags, dressing up in military and naval costumes, exploring the history of Felixstowe, and looking at the old Manning’s Amusement arcade machines. A fun and educational day for everyone!

Our Equals session was full of fun, creativity and learning this week!

We tested our knowledge with an internet and AI safety quiz, baked some delicious fork biscuits, and got creative in the art room with autumn leaf paintings and ongoing projects. There was also plenty of friendly competition around the pool table, while a few young people enjoyed spending time in the music studio.

A great session of trying new things, building skills and spending time together.

We had a fantastic weekend at Edible Felixstowe's Grow, Cook, Eat Festival, enjoying some incredible food, getting our hands dirty with planting, and chatting with members of the community about our new community and wildlife garden project on Micklegate Road.

Back at the hub, Saturday's session was full of creativity and fun, with karaoke, autumn leaf painting in the art room, and plenty of laughter along the way. We were also delighted to see such a great turnout at our weekly Job Club. Thank you to everyone who came along and got involved.

The second half of our week at the Hub has been a busy one!

At our Home Education session, we were supported by Year 9 work experience students who helped us make fresh pizza dough before creating our own pizzas. 🍕

We continued our democracy discussions, exploring different topics and giving everyone the chance to share their views and vote agree, disagree or unsure. It was great to hear a range of opinions and see young people confidently joining in the conversation.

During Open Access, we talked about recycling and got creative with a fashion activity that encouraged everyone to get involved.

Another busy few days filled with creativity, discussion, teamwork and plenty of pizza!

This week at Equals & YAS, young people explored democracy, celebrating youth voice and sharing their views on issues that matter to them.

We teamed up with Inspire for an afternoon of tabletop gaming, where epic adventures sparked creativity, imagination and teamwork.

The creativity continued in the art room, with clay painting, decorative jar designs, magnetic model-making and plenty of fantastic ideas brought to life!

Help Us Create a Community Wildlife Garden

The Seagull, our new Youth & Community Space, is now open, and we're looking for local support to help transform the outdoor area into a safe, accessible, and wildlife-friendly community space.

We're seeking volunteers, local businesses, community groups, and residents who can help with site clearance, planting, garden design, donations of materials, funding opportunities, or ongoing maintenance.

This project will support biodiversity, provide learning opportunities for young people and families and create a welcoming space for the whole community.

To get involved, register your interest using our online form or scan the QR code on the poster.
