What a summer it’s been!☀️

From officially opening The Seagull to hosting music and DJ workshops, celebrating the carnival, enjoying boat trips, creative writing sessions, Arts Award activities, allotment drop-ins, Saturday sessions, hangouts, and even a trip to Parliament, this summer has been filled with unforgettable experiences, new opportunities, and memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, got involved, and made it so special. Here’s to the friendships formed, skills developed, and adventures shared along the way. Check out our social media next week for our September schedule!

Yesterday we came together as a team for our annual away day, taking time to reflect on everything we’ve achieved, explore our current offer, and look ahead to the next five years. Most importantly, it was a chance to connect, recharge, and celebrate the incredible people who make our work possible every day.

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Loca for an amazing lunch and for hosting us at La Vida in the afternoon. Thank you to Lindsey Franklin for leading an incredible Disco Yoga session that had the whole team moving and smiling, and to the Mind Body Sea team for rounding off the day perfectly with a beautiful sunset river cruise.

What an amazing day spent with an amazing team.

We’re thrilled to see the story of The Seagull’s grand opening featured by the BBC and beautifully captured by Jon Wright.

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our community, funders, staff, volunteers and young people. Thank you for being part of this exciting new chapter.

Please note that there will be no sessions or activities taking place this week.

We'll be using this time to get everything ready for a fantastic September, including: giving the hub a thorough clean and tidy, preparing resources and materials and planning exciting activities and sessions.

This preparation time helps ensure we're ready to welcome everyone back and get the new term off to a great start.

Our regular session schedule will resume from the week commencing 7th September. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!

A huge thank you to James from Inspire for hosting a brilliant tabletop gaming session! The atmosphere was fantastic, especially with the music setting the scene. The set-up looked amazing, and all of our young adults thoroughly enjoyed getting involved and playing together.

We also had another fantastic allotment session this week! We're starting to harvest even more produce now, with lots of delicious tomatoes making an appearance. A special thank you to our wonderful young person who helped out on Wednesday. Your hard work and enthusiasm are always appreciated!

Good luck to everyone receiving their GCSE results today! Whether you got the results you were hoping for or not, be proud of the hard work, determination and resilience it took to get here. Remember, your results are just one part of your story, and there are always options and opportunities ahead.

If you'd like someone to talk to about your results, how you're feeling, or what comes next, the Level Two team will be in the FXS Car Park from 8.45am this morning. Whether you want to celebrate, share your worries, or simply have a chat, we're here to listen.

You can also visit our website at www.leveltwo.org to find out more about our mentoring service and our Pathways drop-in sessions, where young people can access ongoing support, advice and a safe space to talk.

Whatever today brings, you're not alone. Congratulations and well done to every young person collecting their results today.

Our second round of music workshops was another huge success! Our first group continued to work their magic, while our second group impressed us with their incredible progress and enthusiasm.

One participant absolutely blew us away with their vocals, and every group showed amazing growth, creativity, and dedication. Thank you all for your commitment, hard work, and talent.

The session is designed to encourage teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and confidence in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Participants will be guided through a custom scenario created by James Wreford from Inspire, who will act as the Game Master throughout the session.
