When it's been a bit on the quieter side, and your energy levels are failing you at the end of the night... just chatting utter rubbish with the people you're with is enough to build the energy for a sign you're not alone.

This happens a lot to us, random chats about nothing in particular seem to start something. Many times we have asked the spirits a question and had no response. So we start having a chat and something happens.

Is it that they are summoning up some energy but need a boost, that they are interested in the equipment but not communicating so they wait until we are distracted, or just that they want to know more about Tiger King... Who knows, but we appreciate it every time!

We've been a bit quiet the last few months...

After a year full of events that have been huge let downs and wondering why we continue to do this, the event we did last month at the True Crime Museum with the GHOST HUNT UK team did not disappoint!

From the first walk around we had activity on the dowsing rods, speaking with Amelia Dyer who was active for us all night. At one point she told us we had communicated with her in a different location, and by a different method. She was able to pinpoint the exact location and method of communication. Although we didn't know we were communicating with her in that location, all of the answers given about the interaction were spot on. She also made us feel unwell when standing in her space and even tapped for us when asked.

Moving on to our second activity, we managed to connect with a spirit claiming to be Aleister Crowley. We asked for quite a bit of information and we managed to get an alternate name and the exact date he died, both of which were correct. Interestingly, we had words come through the spirit talker app telling us to 'beware the witch' whenever another member of the team came into the room. When we asked her she confirmed she was a practicing witch. We also had 'Satan' and 'get out' come through on the app, Crowley's last words.

To end a fantastic night we went into the room with the bath tub... Here we were hearing rattling of the fence in answer to our questions. Kelly suggested we place our hands on the fence to see what we got and we managed to get the fence rattling violently and in answer to questions. We were lucky enough to be the last two standing at the end of the night when the rest of the team joined us and all felt the fence shaking in response to questions and even agreeing to statements.

We had a fantastic evening (which we weren't really expecting) and left feeling hyped up and in a bit of disbelief at the amount that had happened! We can't wait to do another event with this friendly company who genuinely cares about giving the guests the experience that they want!

After hearing so many stories from fellow investigators about Vange Well No 5, we made the journey to see what we could find for ourselves. Walking through Langdon Hills country park and taking in the beautiful surroundings, while avoiding the slippery mud as much as possible, our hopes were high.
Eventually arriving at the ruined well, we had a good look around and finally settled down and got some equipment out.
Said to have been haunted since 1924 we were eager to communicate with the spirits in this area. Tales of a law-abiding gentleman, two women standing on one of the paths, and spirits of the children that visit the well from the old asylum at the top of the hill made us so excited to try this location.
Unfortunately, for whatever reason, this was not our experience on the day. Having stayed for around an hour, we moved on to a different part of the wood. Keeping our EMF and spirit talker on the whole time, with very little activity and nothing that really related to things we were asking.

Hi, my name is Jo, welcome to our page!
I became interested in all things paranormal when my Grandad lent me a book about ghosts. I remember seeing a picture of a man in a car who had just been to his mother's funeral, and the spirit if his mother was sitting in the back seat.
After inheriting my Aunt’s witchcraft books from the 60s my passion for all things spiritual and supernatural grew. This combined with my love of history made becoming a paranormal investigator a natural progression for me.
Always hoping to get something we cannot disprove on an investigation; I do also find myself trying to explain things away once the logical part of me kicks in. Researching new places for us to visit has become one of my favourite past times... but it means our list is LONG!

During our adventures in East Sussex a few years ago we stumbled across this ruined water mill. Not really expecting to get any activity at all, we managed to contact a spirit using our dowsing rods. Now we know what you are thinking, of course there would be activity on dowsing rods near water... but we managed to get consistent answers when asking the spirit to show our yes and no signs.
Long before even thinking of doing this page, so no recordings of the activity unfortunately, we had a brief exchange with a man who still thought that he worked at the mill. He was able to tell us that he had a family, children and that he thought he was still alive. To him, nothing had changed, and he was still happily going to work daily.
This was the first time that we had communicated with a spirit that didn’t seem to know that they had passed. When you pass on do you think you would still go to work everyday? We sure hope not!

On one visit to this secret bunker, we took an extra member as part of our team. There is always pressure when you have hyped something up to be brilliant that it will let you down on the one time that you bring someone else along. This was absolutely not the case on this particular event.

During our free time we decided that the only place we wanted to be was in the tunnel, and it didn’t disappoint. Down the end furthest from the bunker we called out, asking for tapping, knocking, speaking, anything at all to happen.

Just as our time was coming to a end and we were having a chat about the fact it had gone a bit quiet, there was an almighty banging on the door! This door separates the tunnel from a different room, one that you would walk through if you were starting a daytime tour. We thought that there MUST have been someone the other side of the door, so quickly rushed towards it for it simply stop.

Our brave new member opened the door straight away to find that there was no one the other side. They closed the door, staying in the small room and leaving us in the tunnel, when a few moments later the banging started again. None of us were touching that door, we all trust each other enough to know that no one was doing it for a laugh, but it was as though there was someone rattling it trying to get it to open.

Just as quickly as it started, and before any of us could really comprehend it was happening again, it stopped, and we were called back to the main group as our free time had ended. Walking back down the tunnel in pure shock and amazement, none of us said a word but simply smiled to ourselves.

We have all discussed this at length, we have been back multiple times, we have tried to recreate the sound, and we have been unable to explain this in any way. It will remain one of our favourite evenings until we can explain it away... which we truly hope doesn’t happen!

The second investigation that we did with the well-known company was at Michelham Priory in East Sussex. Unfortunately, this experience was similar to the one at Colchester Castle, but with slightly more activity.
Knocking came from inside a small wooden box on a table in the middle of one of the rooms, along with knocks moving round the panelling in a different area, as well as footsteps on stone floor while no one was in that area.
For us the best part of the evening was actually after we had left, before heading back to our hotel, when we stopped by an abandoned church that was part of an old asylum...
