We would like to introduce you to Bennett - so called because he was dumped and tied to a lamppost in Bennett Close. We believe he is around 3-4 years old, and according to the DNA test we had on him, he is half greyhound, half saluki with a pinch of deerhound, whippet and Bedlington thrown in, which all adds up to a lovable goofball! Bennett has been staying with Charlotte and her two greyhounds recently and this is what she had to say about him.
“What a pleasure it has been having Bennett at home, he has really blossomed into a happy, cheeky, lovable boy and settled in beautifully. The first few days he was understandably a little unsure - he would lay on the floor near you but not too close, and he would accept a fuss but not ask for it. However, by day 3 he was sitting on the sofa with us, taking toys from the box and playing, enjoying the sunshine in the garden and even coming over for fuss, and now he's just loving everything that goes with home life.
Bennett jumps in the car and travels well, loves going out for woodland walks with his friends, eats and sleeps well and loves playing with toys and being outside in the garden on a nice sunny day. He has met many different breeds of all different sizes, and most interactions are fine, however, he can get worried about high energy dogs approaching him and getting into his space, he will bark and tell them he's not happy. We are working on this as it's not every dog, and he is learning that they aren't a threat and he can ignore them instead of barking, he just needs the reassurance from his handler that all is good. All in all 4.9 stars for Bennett!”
If you think you could be the person to make Bennett believe in people again, please get in touch with us and come up and meet him. Alternatively please share this post far and wide and hopefully Bennett’s soulmate will see this 🤞🙏🏻🥰
