FCS Talking Therapies is thrilled to announce our next groups for our Talk It Out Programme.

Talk It Out is a 6-week programme providing a safe space to reflect on personal experience and the impact of mental health issues. By attaching coping skills and new self-awareness can create new ways of combating old patterns that keep us safe but keep us stuck.

The aim of the group is to develop and explore new ways of feeling connected, increase self-esteem and on a path to tackle personal goals, big or small.

When life feels overwhelming, grounding yourself in the present moment can make all the difference.

Simple mindfulness techniques you can try today:
✨ Deep breathing - Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4. Repeat.
✨ 5-4-3-2-1 grounding - Notice 5 things you see, 4 you feel, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, 1 you taste.
✨ Mindful pause - Put down your phone, close your eyes, and notice how your body feels right now.

All our members can access 1:1 counselling with FCS Talking Therapies either in person or online. Counselling offers a place to talk about your feelings and concerns that can help to make sense of what is happening in your life. Some topics that could be covered are:

- Shock regarding news of diagnosis of a neurological condition
- Difficulty adjusting to change
- Bereavement
- Relationship problems
- Feeling depressed or low in mood
