Are you or your child waiting for an ADHD assessment?

The wait feels more prominent than ever, at Meraki we can provide a safe space to navigate what you need now, at your pace.

Our support is neuro-affirming, starting with how you or your child think, feel or learn, not how they “should”.

Our referrals are open. DM us, visit the link in our bio or email us directly at [email protected] to find out more & book a free initial call.

GPs and schools: we accept referrals for individuals on the waiting list.

After our reel about children waiting for ADHD and Autism assessments, many of you got in touch to say the wait isn’t just affecting children.

Adults are waiting too, and often for longer. Juggling work, relationships, and everyday life, with lots of questions and little clarity.

We have been busy at Meraki this past year with a brand new collaboration which we can’t wait to share with you all! Last weekend we had a peaceful time at St Albans Cathedral doing some research and discovering where the hot cross bun first appeared!

Today we’re appreciating Alpacas! 🦙✨🫶

Meraki’s founder, Bekah swapped the therapy sofa for an alpaca walk last week, and it was a great reminder to make time for the things that recharge you.

Gentle, curious, and always up for a quiet moment, alpacas might just be onto something!

We’re shining a light on the creative, gentle and sometimes surprising ways to look after our minds. What’s yours? 👇

I love how each session can vary. Some use more creativity than others and some involve sitting and being still. A calm, listening presence. A simply act of making a bracelet enforced me to slow down. Whatever your day looks like maybe find a few moments to just be. A cuppa on the doorstep normal does it for me especially when it’s raining.

The wait for an ADHD/autism assessment can take years, not months.

Your child still needs support now - and so do you.

While You Wait is our 8-week programme helping parents and carers navigate the CAMHS wait: understanding traits, managing meltdowns, school & EHCP support, and your own wellbeing along the way.

Starts with a 1:1 call, then group support from experts who get it.

The wait for an ADHD or autism assessment is getting longer - some families are told to expect years, not months. 😔

While the system catches up, your child is still growing, still struggling at school, still needing support now. And so are you.

That’s why Meraki Creative Therapies created Waiting Well - an 8-week support programme for parents and carers navigating the CAMHS wait.

Every parent starts with a 1:1 call with one of our psychotherapists before joining the group - so support is tailored from day one.

Over 8 weeks, we cover:

✅ Understanding neurodivergent traits (without needing a label first)
✅ Practical strategies for meltdowns & regulation
✅ Navigating school, SENCOs & EHCPs
✅ Sibling & family relationship support
✅ Communicating better with your child
✅ Your own wellbeing through the wait

Family sessions are also available alongside the group for those who want more tailored support.

Run by experts in the field, so you’re never navigating this alone.
