Limbcare UK

We are a charity offering hope, advice and peer support to other amputees and limb-impaired individuals, families, friends, and the wider community.

Limbcare has access to a vast amount of experience with the added bonus that all of the Limbcare officers are amputees, in fact our chairman and founder Ray Edwards MBE a quad amputee since 1987. Membership is not required; all information/advice is offered freely and available to anyone who wishes to learn more about life as an amputee/limb impaired person and the life opportunities available. If you would like to be part of this unique charity please become a supporter by offering to hold a Fundraising event or by giving a donation.

A recent donation we were able to make of a folding electric wheelchair has enabled this gentleman to get out and about more and improved his quality of life as a limb impaired individual. We love to see the boost these donations can give people when they get the mobility equipment they need.

Yesterday we visited the Naidex South Roadshow at Farnborough International. A great opportunity for us to see new mobility equipment and innovative products up close, listen to some interesting seminars and chat to some wonderful people. Thanks for having us Naidex!

Last week we collected some mobility equipment from Heatherwood hospital that has been used by patients and would go to waste without recycling. That's where we come in! By collecting, storing and repurposing the equipment to those who need it we can ensure nothing goes to waste and good equipment ends up in the hands of those in need. 🤝🩵😊

Recently we donated more mobility equipment including wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, walking frames, crutches and much more to our friends at Ukraine Relief to support their work helping the people of Ukraine. This ensures all equipment acquired by Limbcare goes to someone who needs it, and nothing gets wasted.

We were also delighted to team up with Surrey IA, the local group of the Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Association, who donated surplus ostomy supplies to Limbcare and Ukraine Relief. These will reach patients who have little or no access to stoma supplies, that have been donated from unused items which cannot be returned to hospitals or stoma care nurses so are usually thrown away.

Working together with Ukraine Relief and Surrey IA allows us to ensure necessary medical and mobility equipment doesn’t go to waste and ends up in the hands of those who need it most.
