Last week we collected some mobility equipment from Heatherwood hospital that has been used by patients and would go to waste without recycling. That's where we come in! By collecting, storing and repurposing the equipment to those who need it we can ensure nothing goes to waste and good equipment ends up in the hands of those in need. 🤝🩵😊

Recently we donated more mobility equipment including wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, walking frames, crutches and much more to our friends at Ukraine Relief to support their work helping the people of Ukraine. This ensures all equipment acquired by Limbcare goes to someone who needs it, and nothing gets wasted.

We were also delighted to team up with Surrey IA, the local group of the Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Association, who donated surplus ostomy supplies to Limbcare and Ukraine Relief. These will reach patients who have little or no access to stoma supplies, that have been donated from unused items which cannot be returned to hospitals or stoma care nurses so are usually thrown away.

Working together with Ukraine Relief and Surrey IA allows us to ensure necessary medical and mobility equipment doesn’t go to waste and ends up in the hands of those who need it most.
