Last month we sadly said goodbye to our welfare and rehoming manager, Liz. While she will be missed, she is full of plans to travel in her converted truck and enjoy exploring the UK and beyond. We wish her the best…and good weather!
And she leaves the job in good hands! Leanna joins us as a former inspector with the national organisation, where she had a role focused on horses and their welfare. Moving across to a branch where it’s largely about cats will be a slight difference, but we’re confident she’s more than up to everything the role will throw at her, and are very grateful for her past experience with the RSPCA.
Leanna gets to continue her mission to help animals in need, and we feel very glad to have her with us.

We have a couple of cats in our care that desperately need foster homes.
This is the lovely Rowan

He came to us as a stray and we think he was involved in an RTC at some point so he has a problem with one of his back legs and muscle wastage that he needs to build back up. We think he's also getting stressed being stuck in the cattery so would love to get him into a foster home.

If you are able to become one of our fosterers please contact

Tiggy has been showing his jumping skills with the volunteers.
He is just like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh.
He will be looking for a new home soon.

Happily re-home update 😻😻 Bailey was underweight and generally in poor condition when we rescued him from a over crowded home. He was such a character always wanting a chat and lots of attention.
Here he is exploring his new garden and making a new doggy best friend. He really has landed on his paws.

What a glow up 🌟🌟🌟 Young Dixie came to us last December, what a difference some TLC in a foster home has made for her.
She is looking fabulous now and will be looking for her new forever home very soon 😻😻😻

Poor Gizmo she is carrying a large litter, it's zapping all her energy and making her immune system weak. She is struggling with flu symptoms as well as having to raise a large litter.
Please let her story inspire you to all get your cats neutered. It's so important for their welfare and to help the already overwhelmed charities trying to help.
This branch provides contributions towards the cost of neutering pets. If you live in our branch area and receive certain benefits we help with a voucher.

A request. We’re looking for outdoor games to use for fundraising events. Something like Bean bag toss or Quoits would be great.
Does anyone have anything similar that they aren’t using and would be able to donate?
Even just rings like used in quoits that we could use to hook other items…
Happy to arrange to collect, or to drop into one of our shops.

Gucci is Mum to Robin the kitten we featured the other day. After all she has been through she has been searching for her new home. But as often happens with pure black cats, the other colored cats get all the applications 😞
But good news today she has a family meeting her this weekend 😁😁
Lets keep everything crossed it's her perfect match 😻😻😻
