A happy crew gathered at the garden yesterday. Despite the heat, we managed to finish the 3rd polytunnel thanks to Man getting properly stuck in there, shaping, pinning and cutting the poly covering. The potatoes have popped up and are thriving. We netted the strawberries - looks like a bumper crop again this year. More Purple Loosestrife planted in a thriving bog pond - plenty of tadpoles with legs now! We were pleased that Dave tackled setting up a new hosepipe. Water rota in full action now, to keep the produce growing. We are meeting one evening this coming week to plant cucumber and beans, to give them a chance to settle in before the hot, hot sun. Want to see for yourself? Visitors are welcome Wednesday and Saturday mornings, groups by prearrangement.
