💚 Food Poverty Isn't Always Visible 💚

Many people facing food poverty become experts at hiding it.
They go to work, smile, attend school events, chat with neighbours, and carry on as though everything is fine. Behind that brave face, however, they may be worrying about how to feed their family, skipping meals themselves, or staring at nearly empty cupboards.

Food poverty doesn't have a "look." It can affect people from all walks of life, often following unexpected events such as illness, redundancy, relationship breakdown, or rising household costs.
That's why foodbanks are so important. They provide more than just food—they offer support, dignity, and reassurance that nobody has to face difficult times alone.

If you're struggling, please know that reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. And if you're in a position to help, your donations and support can make a real difference to someone quietly facing hardship.

💚 Together, we can ensure that no one in our community has to choose between eating and other essentials.

From welcoming visitors and sorting donations to packing food parcels, fundraising, collecting pet food donations, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, your kindness, dedication, and hard work make a real difference every single day.
Because of you, local individuals and families facing difficult times receive practical support, compassion, and hope when they need it most.

📢 Bank Holiday Closure Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that Faringdon Foodbank will be closed on Monday 25th May for the Bank Holiday.

We will reopen as usual on Wednesday 27th May, 10:00am – 12:00pm at the Town Council Offices, Market Place, Faringdon.

If you need support, please ensure you arrange your referral and collect any food parcels before the holiday closure.

A huge thank you to Tesco for their generous donation of fresh apples to Faringdon Foodbank.

Fresh fruit is always a welcome addition to our parcels and helps us provide healthy, nutritious food to local individuals and families facing financial hardship.

We are incredibly grateful for Tesco's continued support of our community and for helping us make a positive difference.
