🧡💚 A BIG THANK YOU TO WAITROSE FARINGDON! 💚🧡

Following our awareness week at Waitrose Faringdon last week, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported us.

❤️ Thank you to the wonderful Waitrose staff and Foodbank volounteers who helped and supported us throughout the week.

🛒 Thank you to all the shoppers who stopped to chat, find out more about the work of Faringdon Foodbank, and generously donated food.

Your support helps us continue to provide essential food and assistance to local individuals and families experiencing food poverty.

And remember — you don't have to wait for one of our awareness weeks to help!

🥫 There is a permanent Faringdon Foodbank donation point in Waitrose Faringdon, so you can donate food whenever you're doing your shopping.

Every donation, large or small, makes a difference. ❤️

Thank you, Waitrose Faringdon and our wonderful local community, for your continued support.

💚 Food Poverty Isn't Always Visible 💚

Many people facing food poverty become experts at hiding it.
They go to work, smile, attend school events, chat with neighbours, and carry on as though everything is fine. Behind that brave face, however, they may be worrying about how to feed their family, skipping meals themselves, or staring at nearly empty cupboards.

Food poverty doesn't have a "look." It can affect people from all walks of life, often following unexpected events such as illness, redundancy, relationship breakdown, or rising household costs.
That's why foodbanks are so important. They provide more than just food—they offer support, dignity, and reassurance that nobody has to face difficult times alone.

If you're struggling, please know that reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. And if you're in a position to help, your donations and support can make a real difference to someone quietly facing hardship.

💚 Together, we can ensure that no one in our community has to choose between eating and other essentials.

🌟 Volunteers' Week 2026 🌟
This Volunteers' Week, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible volunteers.
From welcoming visitors and sorting donations to packing food parcels, fundraising, collecting pet food donations, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, your kindness, dedication, and hard work make a real difference every single day.
Because of you, local individuals and families facing difficult times receive practical support, compassion, and hope when they need it most.
We are truly grateful for every hour you give and everything you do for our community.
💚 Thank you for being the heart of the Food Bank. 💚
